I was more than happy with the speedy efficient response from Dr Crispin and his Team during our emergency. His quick reactions and prompt diagnose prevented a serious situation from escalating. Thanks to him and his Team my Munsterlander is fit and healthy again. Big thanks from all us, would seriously recommend to others

Dr. Chrispien is always very helpful with my cats and dog. It's a shame he doesn't have an X-ray machine. Otherwise, he's a fantastic vet. Thank you so much!

I visited this veterinarian over the weekend for emergency care because he was listed on the official emergency service list and my dog was acutely ill. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed, even shocked, by the treatment. The practice is a converted garage, the hygiene seemed questionable, and my dog showed strong signs of pain when his anal glands were expressed, something that had never happened in previous treatments (even for inflammation). In my opinion, the examination table was inadequately cleaned after the previous patient. It was simply sprayed with a cleaning agent and immediately wiped off. Furthermore, several injections were administered without first checking my dog's weight, asking his age, or explaining the medications beforehand. I was simply told what he was going to do, and he carried it out immediately without consulting me or asking about any allergies. The entire situation was confusing, overwhelming, and left me with a bad feeling. Since the treatment seemed unusual to me, I took my dog to my regular veterinarian on the next available weekday. After this experience, I would personally prefer to travel further in an emergency. To me, the overall impression of this practice is outdated.

Our 13-year-old dog suddenly and dramatically deteriorated one evening. She had hypothermia and stopped eating and drinking. In desperation, we searched for an emergency veterinary service and eventually reached Mr. Crispien. I described our dog's condition over the phone. His first reaction was, "Oh, it seems like the end is near." He also repeatedly emphasized that his lights were out and the door was closed at midnight. Nevertheless, we rushed to his office, hoping that our dog could still be helped or at least her condition stabilized. Once there, our already hypothermic dog was examined outside. The examination was limited to looking at her gums and lips and listening to her heart. He repeatedly emphasized how bad she looked—which was precisely why we were there! I explicitly asked Mr. Crispien to do everything possible to ensure she would at least survive the night so we could have her treated at an animal hospital the next morning. As a result, she only received IV fluids. Afterwards, we had to wait outside while the bill was leisurely prepared (we filled everything out right at the beginning; it would have been just as easy by mail or email). While we were there, it was repeatedly emphasized that "the lights were going out and the door was closing" and that his shift was over. What particularly disappointed me was not only the, in our opinion, very superficial examination, but also the way I, as a desperate pet owner, was treated. No further diagnostic options were explored, no recommendation was made for an animal hospital or other emergency service, and no advice was given on how we should proceed. I understand that not every animal can be saved. That's precisely why one expects at least a thorough examination, a clear assessment of the situation, and empathetic treatment of both the animal and its owner from an emergency veterinary service. For Mr. Crispien, our dog may have just been another emergency case. For us, she was a beloved family member who had been with us for almost 14 years. Especially in such a situation, we would have wished for more compassion, commitment, and support. To this day, we are left with a very bad feeling. We will probably always wonder whether we should have gone to a different veterinarian or an animal hospital that night. This feeling and these doubts will likely stay with us forever. That's precisely why we deeply regret not having chosen to go to someone else, hoping that our dog would have received a more thorough examination, more support, or at least been treated differently. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment for us and will be our first and last.

For years, I had been taking my chronically ill cat to a different veterinarian. When the previously agreed-upon euthanasia was scheduled to take place at my home, I received a last-minute cancellation. I called all the vets in the area, but no one was willing to come to my house. When I called Dr. Crispien at 6 a.m. on a Saturday, he was immediately available and very compassionate. He was the only one who granted my wish to come to my home for the final farewell. I will always be very grateful to him for that.
