A highly recommended practice. The entire team is very friendly, empathetic, and honest. Last December, we sadly had to have our cat put down very suddenly. We were treated with great compassion. Yesterday, it was our dog's turn, and his final journey was handled with great respect. We were given plenty of time to say a proper goodbye. Back in 2024, thanks to the recommendation to go to the veterinary clinic, some blood tests and medication saved our dog's life. It's always lovely to see how happy everyone (except Minnie herself) is when we come for her annual appointment. Thank you to the entire team for everything!

We had been taking our 13-year-old dog Vostar and our cat Paco to Dr. Matheis for quite some time, and until this incident, we were always satisfied. We have no complaints about his expertise. Our experience on the Thursday before Good Friday (April 2, 2026) was all the more disappointing. Our dog suddenly showed severe symptoms that seemed to us like a stroke. We immediately called the practice, explained the situation, and asked if we could come in as soon as possible. However, we were told on the phone that this wasn't possible because there was already an emergency at the practice (4:08 PM). We were advised to come back the following week or to go to an animal hospital in Oldenburg, or to contact the emergency veterinary service after 6:00 PM. In this situation, we were very worried that Vostar wouldn't survive. At the very least, we would have liked our regular vet to take a quick look at Vostar. So we went to the emergency veterinary clinic. Unfortunately, our dog's condition continued to deteriorate, and he had to be euthanized on April 4, 2026. Given this, we find it particularly heartbreaking that we were turned away by our veterinary practice during this critical situation. This experience has so severely damaged our trust that we will no longer use that practice. We are still incredibly saddened.

We are so grateful for this practice; all the staff do such a fantastic job! Mr. Mattheis has been our vet for three years and is always empathetic, completely honest, transparent, and incredibly warm, both for our cats and for us. Unfortunately, due to our special needs last year 🐱🌈, we had some very different, and sometimes terrible, experiences with other vets in the area. Even our "energetic" cat, Harald, is very calm with him and lets himself be examined without a fuss. The multiple dental surgeries our little one had also went perfectly, and she received loving care afterward, which isn't always the case at other practices (at some, you take your animals home right after the anesthesia, still staggering and trembling – that's definitely a red flag!). All in all, everything here is just right, and we hope this practice will be around for many, many years to come! Keep up the great work! 🫶🏻🐱🐱
