First off: From a purely professional standpoint, and in terms of how Mr. Holdefleiss handles the animals, everything is truly excellent, and I've never had any complaints! Now comes the big BUT: From a human perspective, his self-righteous manner and behavior are rude. To explain, I need to elaborate: We have a female dog who has several allergies and therefore needs allergy medication from time to time, especially when her symptoms are particularly bad. During my last vet visit, I immediately ordered and paid for a large pack (costing almost €200). We received a call promptly confirming that the ordered medication had arrived. Unfortunately, my husband forgot to inform me that the vet had contacted us, and I waited for the call. We only realized this after Christmas, so in the new year, I called the vet to explain that we had received the notification but that there had been a communication error on our end. In response to my call, I was told that the medication was no longer at the vet's office and that someone had already picked it up. After repeatedly assuring them that we hadn't picked up the tablets, I was told they would have to discuss it with the head doctor, look for the tablets again, and get back to me. The call came promptly the next day, informing me once more that the tablets were missing and the order slip was also gone, meaning someone had already picked them up. I again assured them that it wasn't us and asked if it was possible the tablets had been accidentally given to another patient, which was denied, as everything was well documented (which makes me wonder why they don't know who picked up the tablets). I was told again that they would have to look into the tablets and that they would get back to me. This happened promptly, and I was told that they had ordered new tablets for us and that I could pick them up on a specific date. So I went to the doctor's office, sat there for half an hour, before the doctor finally asked me to come in and speak with him. He stated that the tablets were still missing and asked again if we, or perhaps our parents (what do they have to do with our dog?!), had picked them up, which I again denied. Mr. Holdefleiss then offered to split the cost, so I would only have to pay half for the newly ordered tablets. I firmly refused this as well, since I had already paid for the tablets and, in my view, it wasn't my fault that someone other than me or my husband had picked them up from the vet. But now comes the worst part: Mr. Holdefleiss told me not to blush if I happened to find the tablets at home. I should just be honest and return the package. When I replied that I hadn't picked up the package, and therefore there was nothing to be found at my house, he told me that if I had cheated him, my karma would catch up with me. ... I am absolutely speechless at this reaction and accusation! I don't know where the mistake lay. And yes, even a veterinary practice can make a mistake. We're all only human. But to accuse me of taking the tablets and now ordering another pack practically for free is an absolute outrage! We will now change veterinarians, even though, as I said, we have no complaints about his expertise.

We are very satisfied with the professional expertise, medical treatment, and advice. And much more importantly, our dog Anton loves going there!

Today was my first visit to the veterinary practice, and I must say it was very good. Dr. Holdefleiss explained everything very well. There were no unnecessary costs that probably shouldn't have been incurred. Now I'll observe my cat for a while and will definitely go back if she's not feeling well.
