Fantastic vet! She's already been able to help our little cat, Socke, so well! She was compassionate and very kind to him. Furthermore, she always takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and clearly. We will definitely go back to her if we have any further problems!
We were there today with our almost 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. While the vet from Hückeswagen kept recommending we buy new food, wet food, cook for him, and so on, our boy has lost over 10 kg (22 lbs)... I didn't know what else to do, so I went to see Ms. Rohloff. She immediately said that this was unacceptable; he wasn't just too thin, it was dangerous! She was the first vet to come right away with extensive blood tests, etc. A fantastic vet, and I hope she can help our boy now. We will definitely continue going there and recommend her to anyone looking for a vet who cares about the animal's well-being and not just the money! I can only give 5 stars; I would give 10 if I could! 🙏🫱🏼🫲🏻 The practice is super clean, and the staff are lovely—all very polite and animal-friendly! The practice is super clean, and the staff are lovely—all very polite and animal-oriented! I felt in good hands and very comfortable there, and our little boy also liked Ms. Rohloff and let her draw his blood without any problems 🫱🏼🫲🏻
That was my first and last time there!!! Simply greedy and completely incompetent!!! My father's cat was there because she was quite lethargic, and Rohloff only briefly examined her abdomen and took her temperature, then panicked us, saying we had to go to the animal hospital IMMEDIATELY for emergency surgery because it was supposedly a pyometra… We drove for 1.5 hours, and when we arrived, the surgical team wasn't there, and the staff were horrified because they had only been informed by email 5 minutes before our arrival… We then drove to the emergency veterinary clinic in Stemel (another 1 hour drive), and they performed a thorough diagnosis… The bottom line is that no surgery was necessary and this woman has no clue!!! I hope this person has to undergo an unnecessary surgery herself sometime so she knows what she's doing to other animals!!!
Fantastic doctor, wonderful team!! The doctor is always very friendly and gives us excellent advice. She's straightforward and direct, which we really appreciate. Our Dumbo absolutely adores her! Thank you so much for everything, keep up the great work!
If the well-being of your animals is truly important to you, I absolutely cannot recommend this practice. I called today in an acute emergency because my cat was apparently choking and urgently needed help. The only response was that they were closing in 15 minutes and I should find another veterinarian. This was the only open practice in Lüdenscheid – the nearest alternative would have been in Witten. I live just a few minutes away – but please excuse the fact that the on-duty veterinarian apparently couldn't stay even five minutes longer to help an animal in distress. I understand that there are opening hours. But in such a situation, I would have expected at least a minimum level of support and a sense of responsibility. Instead, I was simply turned away. Absolutely disappointing and incomprehensible. A practice I definitely no longer trust. So, next time you need help 20 minutes before the end of the workday and you live only 2 minutes away, save yourself the phone call – just drive directly to Witten :).
