On holiday in the Blackforest. Our dog had apparently collapsed and refused to leave her bed, panting and hot. We arrived on a bank holiday Saturday, the team were great, we had blood tests and x-rays. A hysterical spaniel reaction to a minor infection but they ruled out anything more critical and set our mind at rest. Expensive, but no more so than any bank holiday vet emergency. Thank you so much for a great service.

If i could give ten stars i would. I’m sure it takes years to train to be a a good vet … But to do it with such compassion , understanding of the situation , total transparency and honesty is an art in itself . We raced in the door in total panic and emergency and were seen to straight away . I have also had both my dogs in their care for vaccinations and general checks which always went smoothly. Sadly, in the past year both of my dogs got seriously ill and made their journey over the rainbow bridge . It’s a difficult and hard time - and i can not praise or thank this team enough. The cardiologists did everything they could, the entire crew pulled out all the stops for us, tried everything . I can only highly recommend this clinic and their wonderful team . I’m sure Milo and Jamie would say that to if they could . Thank you. ☘️

Visited the clinic on Sunday 22/08 with my Golden Retriever Larissa, who could not walk anymore. We usually live in Barcelona. Friendly and competent attention over the phone. Getting there, after some waiting time I was attended by a young doctor and an even younger assistant. I mentioned Larissa's previous hip arthrosis problems. This is where they focused then. Diagnosis, after a physical examination: lameness degree 2 on back legs, hip arthrosis. Got two shots -- anti-inflammatory and morphine, and oral follow-up painkiller. Kostenpunkt: 314.21 EUR (bill # 380027). However, over the days the dog did not get better. Returning to Barcelona, her regular vet examined. A blood test showed super high inflammation values; an ultrasound check a highly inflammatory and inflated uterus. In an emergency OP, 1.3kg of liquid-filled uterus were removed. Since these had already partially perforated, follow-up hospitalization was needed. Costs for the entire incident thus summed up to almost 2000 EUR, but I was very lucky not to lose my dog, in spite of a serious (and expensive) mis-diagnosis at Dr. Frank's Clinic. 14/09: I appreciate the response from the clinic, including privately email forwarded detailed notes -- and the good wishes for Larissa! The essence of the response seems to be that, since I visited on a Sunday, where the clinic's diagnostic options are limited/ prohibitively expensive, I could for the 320 EUR I paid only expect to get a misleading diagnosis; to get the right diagnosis, I would then have had to come back from the Schwarzwald on a weekday to pay yet another... what? I'd guess, 500-600 EUR for the full diagnostics spectrum (X-ray, blood test, ultrasound)? In Barcelona, I then paid 230 EUR for those three test components, incl examination. On those grounds, my problem is not only with the wrong diagnosis delivered on a Sunday, but also simply with the cost efficiency of the service offered ("Preis-Leistungsverhältniss") -- which is one of the criteria I am being asked to rate here.

My cat needed emergency help after being stuck in the window. We get the first aid in our clinic and headed to Freiburg right away. Doctors are calm (which is great when people are stressed) and professional. After examination cat was transported to clinic and received all the help and further examination. Next day they called and I was able to took him home. Now he is in great mood as always. Wish all your pets a good health!
