My cat is an outdoor cat and came back yesterday morning after spending the night outside. She wasn't making a sound and hadn't eaten anything. Since my vet was unfortunately closed, a colleague recommended Ms. Mätschke's practice that afternoon. When I arrived, she greeted me at the door with her dog running loose. She was dressed casually. I found the practice very dirty. There were cobwebs on the walls, and it smelled strange. She examined my cat immediately. She diagnosed her with laryngitis. She didn't want to treat it with antibiotics but rather with medication to boost her immune system. I was supposed to come back the following day. I noticed that she repeated some things ten times over, and I had to hold my cat myself because she doesn't have any staff to help her.
Unfortunately, you can't give negative stars. Please don't go there. The doctor treats animals while drunk. I've also reported it to the veterinary association. She's not allowed to practice anymore.
I was more than shocked when I saw her. First of all, a large dog greeted me at the door. When asked, she stated that she had been attacked several times and that's why she had the dogs for her protection. She seemed heavily intoxicated and at times disoriented by the situation. She greeted me in her private clothes and slippers. The practice/apartment stank horribly. In the treatment room, on the treatment table, there was a pack of Miracoli, an open syringe, and crumbs lying around. Opened medications, ampoules, and all sorts of other things were lying around on all the work surfaces throughout the room... it was pure chaos. I would never go there again because of her demeanor and the practice.
Dr. [Name] doesn't address the concerns and fears of pet owners and doesn't take them seriously. She prescribed medication for my cat that didn't treat the underlying condition. Instead, she assumed it was a psychosomatic disorder and tried to treat it with homeopathic remedies. I cannot recommend this practice! I then switched veterinarians and went to the veterinary practice at Wilden Mann, where they took excellent care of my cat and treated the somatic cause (a bezoar) of her illness. Now she's doing really well again!
Our visit there was a while ago, but nothing seems to have changed. My regular vet was on vacation, so we went to the substitute. Big mistake, which almost cost my guinea pig its life. My guinea pig stopped eating. A quick look in its mouth and our layman's diagnosis was: overgrown teeth. Our plan: go to the vet, have its teeth filed down, and go home. The vet had a different opinion. She advised us to have the guinea pig euthanized immediately. In the examination room, along with my terrified guinea pig, there were several large dogs. The vet seemed distracted, very unfriendly, and curt. A few days later, we went to our regular vet, who simply filed down the guinea pig's teeth. Thanks for absolutely nothing to that practice.
