I'm looking for a good and reliable veterinary practice. I generally appreciate comprehensive treatment for my pet, including thorough explanations, at fair prices, and payment on-site by card or cash. If medication is indicated, only therapeutically effective drugs should be administered. A large number of predominantly positive reviews, often in the tens of thousands, underscores the very high quality of the services offered. Negative feedback shouldn't be deleted either. Fortunately, I found a veterinarian in the neighboring town who meets these standards, because this wasn't the case here.
I am more than satisfied with veterinarian Dr. Hampel. She handles the animals with great love and care. She is very competent and always has good advice that has saved us from many expensive treatments. I can highly recommend her.
Absolute audacity, incompetence, and professional misconduct. I've never had such a bad vet experience. Endlessly lecturing and condescending, doesn't listen, interrupts every sentence after the first three words, and basically just tries to sell her pet food by any means necessary. She's afraid of touching my cat, only touching her once briefly instead of treating her/checking her out. She's completely stiff, seems anxious—you don't feel comfortable or welcome there. I paid €60 to have three different pet food catalogs presented to me—while my cat, panting and with a racing heart, had to go back to the crate and wait!?! I was stunned. I had to raise my voice and say "no" to her pet food a third time. Because she didn't address why I was there at all and just kept putting on her sales show. She would give me another appointment for homeopathy?!?! I only want to pick up one of three remedies, which I can discuss calmly without a panting cat because I can describe her medical history and symptoms in detail and with absolute clarity. Besides, my animal wasn't really examined anyway. I actually came for three reasons: - Homeopathy for ADHD/restlessness/panic attack symptoms (rapid heartbeat, wide-open eyes, panting) that recur every summer. - Liver supplements because she jumped out of a window—impact can damage the liver. - A quick check to make sure everything's okay. Because she had an old wound on her leg, but it had crusted over and was almost healed. I got 10 Traumeel tablets for that. & food lectures & a lot of anger at such ignorance and complacency.
Dr. Hampel is a truly wonderful and kind veterinarian. She always strives to minimize stress for the animals, is competent, friendly, well-informed, takes the necessary time, and is empathetic towards both animals and their owners. I am so glad I found her and can highly recommend her! There is excellent parking right at the practice, and the opening hours are perfect and easily compatible with work schedules.
Unfortunately, I have to change my review. We took our dog there, and he had an open, festering wound on his belly. Aside from dabbing it with chamomile tea, there was no help or solution offered. We then went to another vet, and they helped him immediately. I'm a fan of homeopathy, but this was completely useless. The only advantage is that you don't have to wait to throw away €50 for nothing.
