Unfortunately, my first language it’s not German, therefore, I will have to write this review in English but I hope this post will help more people to avoid this clinic. We were referred to this clinic by our local vet since they advertise themselves as one of the most modern clinics in the state of NÖ. When our cat stopped eating and it was believed that she may have ingested something, our vet sent us to this clinic because it is believed that they have the proper equipment to determined whether there was a foreign object in the stomach/intestines in my cat, keep in mind they call themselves one of the most modern clinics in NÖ. Just to start, they don’t know how to handle a cat, and because of my cats temperament, they immediately suggested to have the cat sedated to perform ultrasounds, as this would be less traumatic for the cat and easier to handle for them. At the end of the first day, the veterinarians where unable to determine whether there was a foreign object or not in the body of my cat and suggested to keep the cat for another day and further ultrasounds (and more sedation of course). This situation repeated for two more days as they “could see there was something in there, but they were not sure what it was”. At the third day we were informed that they could not find anything but the cat had gastritis, the cat was eating again. we were happy and relief and she would stay one more day for medication, but on my husband’s own words “they are practically begging us to pick up the cat because she is very angry”. When we had the cat finally home, the sedation didn’t give up after 3-4 days, is this normal? I don’t believe so. Is this a sign that they don’t know how to handle cats, totally. She was sent home with gastritis treatment for a week, but her eating habits never improved, she was not completely cured but not totally bad, there was something off. All the ultrasounds they provided say, no foreign object, all good, but there was no improvement. And by the way, the cost of that wrong diagnosis was around 800 euros but yet I haven’t reached the worse part. Eventually, my cat stopped eating again and developed even more symptoms, we took her to the emergency room at the same clinic. The weekend vet, looked at the symptoms and she said, well I think she has a food allergy, gave her an injection to stop the dizziness and sent us home with two cans of hypoallergenic food. She didn’t even try to make a blood test, a urine test, nothing, her pure intention was to get rid of us as soon as possible. How am I to feed the cat with hypoallergenic food when she is not eating? She was just hoping that this would eventually work. The vet also talked about food tests to verify the allergies and I was left wondering, what food tests would work on a cat that barely has muscle? On a cat that barely eats? On a cat that barely moves? I was fed up at this point of the amount of time I had lost with unscrupulous people who do business with animal health. The next immediate business day, we drove our cat to a cat specialist in Vienna, where she was treated with dignity, everything that my cat had lived and experienced was explained in detail. It took 5 hours for the Doctors to determine that, my cat indeed suffers from gastritis but also had developed a kidney infection as a result of a missed diagnosis of a renal deficiency and what the vets in WN could not “find” or “see” or “may be” was in fact Inflammatory Vowel Disease. They didn’t only miss in the diagnosis, the WN ultrasound reports that my cat kidneys are perfectly round and great health condition, they purposely or evil didn’t check my cat’s condition to cause her harm and subsequently provoque her death. When reviewing the reports provided by the WN clinic, they are almost a copy/paste one to the other, just some words changed here and there. If they did this to us, to how many are they doing it too, right now? When in doubt of your pet diagnosis by this clinic, seek for a second opinion.
Friendly, but I didn't get what I needed!
First of all, an important constraint: our cat, Walter, has 9kg and is 110cm long. He is very kind, but he doesn´t like vets and get very angry when unpleasant things are done to him. Many vets have reticence due to his size and panther-like behaviour when he is angry. At TKWN, he was treated with determination, knowledge and professionality. His temperature measured, his blood taken for analytics, treated with antibiotics intravenously, hospitalized. At first visit, they demonstrated to me that they are trustworthy professionals. Last but not the least, they have been transparent in pricing and quality/price ratio is very high.
Very good clinic, fast and precise care! Thank you!
Extremely friendly Doctors and staff, and very helpful with the diagnose. Ample parking at the front of the building!
