The best vet in Graz! Great staff 😍
They are a very friendly and competent team. I absolutely recommend them.
The incident happened some time ago now, but the shock is still profound. I took my dog to the vet because she had a large, hard lump on her back. I hadn't even been in the examination room for three minutes when the vet told me it was probably a tumor on her back and bone cancer. She squeezed the lump briefly for five seconds and made the diagnosis. She said she couldn't help me and recommended a specialized clinic where I could start chemotherapy immediately. My world collapsed in that moment, and I cried my eyes out. To be clear: the diagnosis was made by squeezing the lump briefly for a few seconds. When I left, I was charged around €45 for the examination. I honestly said, "Don't be mad at me, but I was only in there for three minutes, and the vet barely touched my dog?" The vet and assistant were incredibly kind and wanted to intervene on my behalf, but I think it was the head vet or someone like that who insisted I pay the fee. I understand there's a co-payment, but €45 for 3 minutes doesn't seem justified to me, especially since the dog wasn't treated and a careless diagnosis was given. Two stars – because the vet and assistant were incredibly kind, offered me tissues, etc. – thank you from the bottom of my heart for that during that difficult time! And about the dog: I then went to the veterinary clinic, and after a proper examination, it wasn't cancer! A quick X-ray ruled it out with a high degree of certainty. The tissue was surgically removed and sent for testing – it was scar tissue. I think a cancer diagnosis shouldn't be thrown around so lightly. If there's any doubt, you should say you can't say for sure and refer the matter directly. Of course, you can't demand that, but it would be more humane not to charge an exorbitant co-payment for a suggestion. And about the dog: I went to the animal hospital, and after a proper examination, it wasn't cancer! I'm sorry, but the incident is still weighing on me.
