A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful veterinary practice and the entire team who have lovingly and empathetically cared for our beloved Betti (Westie) for the past 15 years. A special thank you to Dr. Kallus, who supported us with such compassion and empathy when we had to let Betti cross the Rainbow Bridge at almost 16 years old. We highly recommend this practice, as they truly prioritize the animal and the owners' well-being. Thank you so much!

For many years, I exclusively took my cat to the veterinary practice of Dr. Lars Kockerbeck and was always very satisfied with the medical treatment, as well as Dr. Kockerbeck's expertise and manner. I always found the care to be calm, competent, and pleasant. Today, I brought my cat to the practice due to a sudden and, for me, very worrying deterioration in her general condition: significantly less appetite, severe exhaustion, drooling, and an unkempt coat, which is unusual for her. I cannot and do not want to judge whether it was a medical emergency, but for me, as her owner, it felt urgent and serious. We were greeted at the reception desk by Ms. B. Instead of addressing the situation, she seemed to judge me based on the fact that I had last brought my cat to the practice about seven years ago. I was told that they have been operating by appointment only for the past three years. At that moment, I found her behavior very rude, lacking in empathy, and, above all, not reassuring. I found it particularly disappointing that no information was provided about alternative help, emergency services, or other resources, even though I was clearly distressed and arrived with a sick animal. I work in emergency care myself and know how important it is to at least take people seriously and provide guidance in exceptional situations; unfortunately, that's exactly what I missed here. Because of this experience, I will not be visiting this practice again in the future, nor will I recommend it to others. This is all the more regrettable as I have always had very positive experiences with their medical treatment in the past.

Mr. Sachs was totally easy and relaxed. He looked at the animal and you could ask questions without feeling like you might be silly. He also really liked my idea for the belly guard. He explained everything very simply 😊

Once you get past reception, I can truly recommend this veterinary practice. The veterinarians are all friendly, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the animals' well-being. You can tell they provide excellent professional care. Unfortunately, there's a major problem at reception. The receptionist shows absolutely no empathy. If there are too many people in the practice, you're simply turned away—even in an emergency. Being turned away with a dying cat in your arms is completely incomprehensible and deeply disappointing. It's a shame, because the receptionist's behavior stands in stark contrast to the otherwise excellent work of the veterinarians. There's a real need for improvement here.
