Our impression of this veterinarian is entirely negative. At our last appointment on Thursday, we were practically rushed through in just a few minutes. They even forgot we had an appointment and took us into the examination room with the words, "Well, let's just take a quick look then." A thorough examination of our dog practically didn't take place. The way they handled our pet was anything but professional – the vet and the nurse seemed restless, unfocused, and not really present. Because we were so worried about our dog, this behavior only intensified our mistrust and fears. Instead of getting an up-to-date picture, they simply relied on lab results that were already four days old – a new lab wasn't even considered despite our dog's significant deterioration. What's particularly concerning is that the results from Monday were already suspicious and very consistent with PLE (pleural encephalopathy) – they absolutely required further investigation. Based on this incomplete information, they still gave us a prognosis of 3–6 months of life expectancy. In addition, a value was apparently calculated that wasn't even listed on the lab report we received (a veterinarian from an animal hospital only pointed this out to us). It's also completely incomprehensible that the vet suddenly decided to adjust the food based on the kidney values ​​on Thursday – even though these values ​​had been available since Monday. Instead of reacting appropriately early on, this was only addressed belatedly, which offered us no discernible medical benefit. It's particularly disconcerting that an abdominal ultrasound was performed on Monday, which was supposedly normal. On Friday, we finally had to have our beloved dog euthanized. At that point, another veterinarian discovered serious findings: a fluid-filled abdomen, severe abdominal inflammation, and fluid in the chest area. The actual disease (PLE), which is not uncommon, especially in Yorkshire Terriers, had apparently not even been considered previously. A good veterinarian should be aware of such connections and think outside the box. Our conclusion: a lack of diligence, superficial diagnostics, and a treatment experience that never made us feel comfortable. Absolutely not recommended – not even worth one star.

I've always enjoyed taking my cat to Dr. Greiner. Unfortunately, I recently had a terrible experience. I took my cat to Dr. Greiner two weeks ago because he had suddenly stopped being house-trained. Dr. Greiner diagnosed a bladder infection with bladder sludge. I was supposed to come back two days later to continue the antibiotics. I did so, and three days later, my cat was screaming terribly in pain all night. I went back to Dr. Greiner, who performed an ultrasound of his bladder and gave him another antibiotic injection. The pain didn't stop, so the next evening I went to the veterinary clinic. The diagnosis: kidney failure with irreversible kidney infarctions. The urine was also tested, but there were no signs of a bladder infection or bladder sludge. My cat suffered for two weeks because of this misdiagnosis. At the clinic, they weren't even sure if my cat would survive. Thank God everything turned out well. He was in the hospital for a whole week receiving IV fluids, which cost an additional €5000 on top of what I had already paid Mr. Greiner. This makes me wonder if my cat could have been spared the suffering and permanent damage if a proper diagnosis had been made.

We've been patients at this practice for years. We have absolutely nothing bad to say. For the past nine months, we've also been bringing our dog, who unfortunately has a great passion for dangerous snacks, which has already led to several visits to the practice. A truly fantastic team, a super competent and wonderful veterinarian. Here, the animal and its well-being are the top priority! Excellent advice, and you're always taken seriously! All in all, five stars aren't nearly enough. We can only offer our heartfelt thanks for the work and the passion that is palpable in the practice, and we are incredibly happy to be so well cared for.
