In September my tomcat was neutered and microchipped here, which should really be a routine procedure. You're only supposed to come in for a first health check a week before the neutering with the tomcat, which I found strange because I hadn't needed this with my cat months previously and therefore didn't agree to it to avoid the stress for the tomcat and the expense. So they just took his temperature and gave him a quick look and then took him into care that morning. I didn't hear anything until midday and called for the first time because you're worried yourself. I was told he was still groggy and waking up and that I should be prepared for a later date. I was able to take my cat home after 2.5 hours. So I was somewhat relieved but still wondered why it was taking so long. When I still didn't hear anything by the afternoon, I called again. I was then suddenly told on the phone that he had apparently not tolerated the anesthetic and had now been given a counter injection to wake him up, and that I could only pick him up at the end of the day when he was stable, or even that I would have to stay overnight for observation. So I called again in the evening and was told that he was reasonably stable, but still a bit dazed 😵 and his temperature a bit low, and that I should keep him warm and inside. When I got there, when I asked about the bill for 370 euros and what had been done, I was also told that he had probably been given another injection 💉 of antibiotics... all without my informing me or calling 📞 or taking any action. When my credit card didn't work there and I offered to use instant bank transfer, they refused to let me have my cat 😵, only if I paid immediately, otherwise he would have had to stay there overnight! What?!?? So I drove off and got another card and was finally able to take my still completely dazed cat home. When I saw him, I had a completely different feeling. A small injury/scratch on the right side of his head needed treatment. After that, the entire front of his head was shaved without me knowing, including some of his whiskers and all the way to his eye 😳😳😱!! I didn't feel well informed or treated and can only strongly advise against having your animal treated here!

We took our dog to the Medivet veterinary practice in Hoppegarten and are truly grateful for the wonderful care we received. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt comfortable. The entire team took plenty of time to explain everything clearly and patiently answer all our questions. We were particularly impressed by how gently and sensitively our dog was handled, as he is very afraid of the vet. Despite his fear, they worked with him calmly, carefully, and lovingly, making the visit much less stressful for him. You can immediately tell that they work with heart, patience, and genuine love for animals. We feel our dog is in excellent hands there and can absolutely recommend the practice.
