Dr. Anja Engelhardt's veterinary ophthalmology practice is located in the middle of a residential and commercial area, which means it's quite crowded and parking is sometimes scarce directly in front of the practice. Therefore, it's advisable to leave early to try and find a parking spot a little further away. However, the trip from Ulm was definitely worth it for us after the successful treatment. The practice itself is bright, modern, and has a very large and attractive entrance area. The entire reception team is very friendly and helpful, which makes for a very positive first impression. In February 2023, we visited the practice because of an eye injury our dog Frieda had, and we are incredibly grateful for the excellent care we received there. Frieda, our French Bulldog, injured her eye. Initially, it seemed like a minor injury, but the eye simply wouldn't heal properly and began to water excessively. After treatment by our regular veterinarian proved unsuccessful, we decided to consult Dr. Engelhardt. We went to Dr. Engelhardt's office. There, the diagnosis was quickly made: a corneal abrasion that wouldn't heal on its own or with drops and ointment. Dr. Engelhardt took plenty of time to explain the condition of Frieda's eye and the necessity of a minor operation to us in detail. The surgery was performed that same day, and we were able to take Frieda home immediately afterward. The first few days after the treatment were challenging, as we had to regularly apply drops and ointment to Frieda, but after about ten days, we saw a significant improvement. Today, Frieda is completely healed, and there's no sign of the injury. The entire team is extremely friendly, competent, and empathetic. Dr. Engelhardt patiently guided us through the entire treatment and was always available to answer our questions (including via email). We felt we were in the best hands at all times. We are very grateful for the prompt and professional care and highly recommend Dr. Engelhardt's practice. Many thanks to the entire team for the excellent care!

An absolutely fantastic, warm, and competent team led by Dr. Engelhardt. Everyone treats the patient with great care and professionalism, and they take their time for examinations, explanations, and answering questions. In the end, we were able to save Frank's eye, and he's doing wonderfully again. It's so nice to know there are still veterinarians and veterinary assistants like this who truly care about their patients. We hope we won't have to come back anytime soon, but if we do, we'll gladly return again :)

Excellent veterinary ophthalmology practice. My cat received excellent care; it was a bit more expensive than a regular vet, but it's a specialist practice after all 👍 The entire team is very competent, friendly, and kind, and it's quieter than perhaps other veterinary practices. They have good time management.
