I am verry happy with this doctor. Every time after i make a visit , my dog is better. He knows what problems have your pet , what you should do in case of ...something. I am not friend or something with him but i was cheking many pets doctors and i was not happy with them. He is doing his job well done. Thanks.

On December 9th, 2025, we took our 18-year-old dog, Pünktchen, to Dr. Reiss for an appointment. She was unwell, had almost no appetite, was sleeping abnormally, and refused to eat. A blood test was done, supposedly showing good results. A tooth was extracted without further ado, using only local anesthesia. At home, Pünktchen was not only in pain but also vomited and suffered from the strange tooth extraction, and it bled for a long time. We are appalled that Dr. Reis is still practicing. The conclusion is that with an ultrasound and X-ray, he should have been able to see that Pünktchen was seriously ill. This meant that at our second appointment today at a clinic in Augsburg, an X-ray revealed fluid in her lungs and a tumor. Thank you, Dr. Reis, for your incompetence; we had to let Pünktchen go.

About two years ago, I took my cat Balou to Reis. At first, he accused me of not coming in immediately, but he didn't give me a proper diagnosis, or rather, he gave me several different ones. I came every day, but the little one's condition didn't improve. He called me on the Saturday before New Year's Eve, couldn't answer, but sent a text message saying it was too late. On Tuesday, he told me the little one had giardia and, to make matters worse, gave the wrong medication to my older cat as well. I switched vets, and the little one finally got better. Last July, I had to have him euthanized due to FIP, and since then, I've had real problems with my older cat. This vet doesn't deserve a single star or any money; he has no empathy for animals or their owners! NEVER AGAIN. I'll go to Anicura for emergencies.

Well, first of all, this vet and his assistant (not his wife, who is very friendly) absolutely do not deserve a single star or anything else. On August 11, 2025, I brought my other two cats for an examination and spoke with Dr. Reis about them being in heat and my already scheduled spay/neuter appointment. Dr. Reis said there was still an opening and I could reschedule my cats' surgery. However, I was running late (due to my own surgery) and called. This assistant was incredibly rude to me on the phone and wouldn't let me finish speaking. She said they didn't give a damn and didn't want to hear what I had to say 😤😤🤯🤯😳😳 According to Dr. Reis, I shouldn't even bother coming back to the practice and should find another vet 🔍. I even heard Dr. Reis saying it in the background. Dr. Reis, the vet, is definitely good at raking in the cash (every visit was handled like a Formula 1 race. Short time, but a high bill). So I had to find another vet as quickly as possible, and thankfully I found one who is competent, empathetic, and actually listens to the wishes and needs of both the pet owner and the animals. They even gave me information on how to manage my cat in heat until her surgery. Dr. Reis didn't even provide that kind of information. The price was great! 👍 I explained the situation to the new vet, what Dr. Reis had done. He just swallowed hard and said it was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. In short: Absolute incompetence! Thanks, but never again. P.S.: I'm giving Dr. Reis a measly one star.

First of all: All the negative reactions are just snapshots in time. Everyone makes mistakes. Mr. Reis is a truly experienced and competent veterinarian. His somewhat firm manner is exactly right for anxious patients because it prevents them from becoming even more frightened by their owners' pity. Mr. Reis always says things straight and explains how best to behave around your pet. I've been taking my dog to him for almost ten years and we've always been satisfied, including with the price. Here's to many more years!
