We took our dog Ella to Dr. Sylvia Kinzel's surgical veterinary practice in Aachen for a patellar luxation and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Despite the long journey, every kilometer was absolutely worth it. Dr. Kinzel impresses with her exceptionally high level of expertise. From the initial examination and thorough explanation to the surgery itself, we felt we received the best possible medical care and were very well looked after. Her loving, calm, and respectful approach to Ella—and to us as her very concerned owners—was particularly noteworthy. Our biggest worry was the anesthesia, as Ella had reacted very poorly to it during a previous surgery at another veterinary clinic—an experience we were not entirely satisfied with. The care and professionalism at this practice were all the more impressive: An assistant contacted the clinic beforehand to inquire about the anesthetic used in the previous surgery. Based on this information, both the anesthetic and the dosage were individually adjusted. This time, Ella tolerated the anesthesia exceptionally well. The phone calls before and after the surgery were exceptionally friendly, patient, and professional. Every question we had was taken seriously and answered clearly, which gave us a great deal of peace of mind. A particularly wonderful moment was being able to go straight to Ella when she woke up. This transparency and closeness are by no means a given and touched us deeply. A huge thank you to Dr. Kinzel and the entire practice team for the outstanding medical care, the warm support, and the feeling of always being taken seriously. Highly recommended!
