For many years, our cats and dogs have been patients of Dr. Imke Bartels. We are extremely satisfied with the care our pets receive from the mobile Dr. Bartels team. The option of having the veterinarian visit us at home is a very pleasant and stress-free way for our animals and us to have examinations, vaccinations, and even minor surgeries performed in the comfort of our own homes. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them most sincerely for their reliable work and wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Imke Bartels and her brother, Knud Bartels. Dr. Bartels and Mr. Bartels really have a way with my cat. During her last vaccination, my furry friend did twitch her hind legs (when she spotted the two people with suitcases and white coats in the hallway), but Mr. Bartels gently and expertly (without protective gloves, respect 👍🏻 - my cat was very well-behaved 😇, no scratching, no fuss) coaxed her out of her hiding place and placed her on the scale 😁👍🏻🐈‍⬛✅. Dr. Bartels then administered the subsequent vaccination with equal care, while Sweety (my cat) sought refuge on one of her scratching posts. A little petting from the doctor and presto, the injection was over 😁👍🏻. I highly recommend the Bartels team! For both humans and animals, a stress-free vet visit in the comfort of their own home has real advantages 😊.

We've been taking our cats and our dog to the "Bartels Team" for over a decade. For the cats in particular, treatment at home in their familiar surroundings is much less stressful and quite relaxing. Appointments, even in urgent cases, are available at short notice, and medications can be picked up by arrangement. The animals are always handled calmly and gently. We also feel very well cared for by Imke Bartels and always receive expert advice.

I somehow noticed that my almost 3-year-old My British Shorthair cat, Paris, was behaving differently. He was sleeping a lot and eating very little, which is quite unusual for him. He wasn't coming for cuddles anymore. Hmm, I thought, okay, maybe it's teething again because his breath smelled different. On Monday, I called my vet's office to order teething gel and explained my concerns. She suggested I bring him in. She said she could squeeze me in on Wednesday. My two furry friends are so incredibly stressed – the car ride, waiting in their carrier at the vet's office, then the examination room – that I'd been considering contacting the Bartels mobile vet team for a while. I did just that on Monday. I left a short message on their voicemail, and 30-45 minutes later, the vet called back and said they would come by around 11 am on Monday. Wow! I was very surprised. Of course, they were both very scared at first, but compared to the vet's office, they were totally relaxed. Well, the diagnosis was an infection. Even his little sister, Lily, had a fever. Both were treated very gently and received medication. They had a follow-up appointment two days later. And again, they're super sweet. I, on the other hand, am a bit difficult. I had so many bad experiences (with my first children), I ask a lot of questions, and I tell them a lot about what happened with my first cats, etc. I'm still very anxious and skeptical, but from the very first phone call with Team Bartels, I thought I'd give it a try. And they showed me very well that not all of them are bad! Next month, both cats are scheduled for dental work at my home. Which I think is fantastic!
