Reviews
Rabbits are considered companion animals, not small animals. So it was probably partly my fault that I didn't go to a specialized companion animal clinic right away. There, for example, imaging could be done without anesthesia – without the stress for the animal and at a significantly lower price. It's a shame I wasn't informed about that beforehand.
Never again...I've never experienced anything so cold and impersonal...To them, it's just an animal, but to the owners, a family member. But do you let a family member walk on the floor of the treatment room? So that the owner can barely say goodbye at eye level?? After he finally got the IV in for the third time, he immediately primed the syringe and pulled the trigger, and only then did he say, "I can say goodbye." Within 10 seconds, there was no heartbeat...is that a goodbye? They didn't even light a candle! He even said to my friend, "We'll put the dog in the car now, and I should start taking care of the finances." We had already been to the doctor's office the day before (our dog's problem was that she wouldn't close her mouth anymore), and the vet didn't even look in... she couldn't even hear her heartbeat... before she injected her with medication, she stood there for at least 2 minutes and just stared at our dog without doing anything... after that, she dictated something in doctor's language to the assistant, who was also very assertive. She cheered us up and said she thought it was an infection... and the assistant said that once we got it under control, we'd worry about her weight (she weighed 34.2... according to the chart for an adult Labrador, that's 2 kg too much; of course, 5 kg less wouldn't have hurt her). And then the next day, the blow to the heart... we strongly suspect that the doctor knew what would happen the next day... because she and the assistant insisted that we absolutely had to come in for a check-up, otherwise we would have a big problem. Either she didn't want to go through with it or she wanted to earn more money that day (174.00 + 2nd day 157.00 for euthanasia). Everyone is shocked by this procedure and treatment. We regret not having chosen a different practice. Then the farewell would have gone as it should have. The star goes to the receptionist: she knows what she's doing and does it with heart.
