My dog, Mila (10 years old at the time), was being treated by Dr. Linzer in January 2023 for a lump on her side. During regular checkups, I was repeatedly confirmed that her teeth were fine for her age, as long as there were no symptoms. In April, the lump was finally surgically removed. At first, I thought it was very positive that additional treatments could be performed during anesthesia—such as nail trimming or tartar removal. This seemed sensible, after all, anesthesia is not easy for an older dog. So I was all the more shocked when I picked her up: Mila suddenly had five missing teeth—without me being informed or even asked in advance! They had supposedly "simply come off" during the tartar removal. A prior call? No such thing. Instead, we were casually informed that "it should have been done earlier"—even though, according to Dr. Linzer, everything was still fine in January. Three months later, Mila had a severely swollen face. The nearest veterinary clinic discovered that five root remnants remained in the jaw, which had become severely inflamed. Due to the inflammation, additional teeth had to be extracted. This was a painful and entirely avoidable follow-up treatment – with corresponding additional costs. When we subsequently requested a treatment report, there was suddenly none. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a scoundrel. The entire experience was marked by a lack of communication, a lack of transparency, and a very arrogant manner on the part of the doctor. Empathy? None at all. One thing is for sure: we will never see the inside of this practice again.
Unfortunately, this was the worst and most expensive vet visit I've ever had. The examination lasted less than three minutes; the dog was briefly looked at, not examined, and I was interrupted in a truly rude manner. The injection was given before I could even say anything. It didn't help at all. The next vet examined my dog thoroughly, found the cause, and my dog was healthy again after two days. And that cost less than half the price. Thanks for nothing, Dr. Linzer!
Today (Saturday) I visited the practice for the first time with our Emma. She had sprained her front leg. Even though I didn't have an appointment, I didn't have to wait long. The examination was very caring and professional; we'll be happy to come back.
Great practice. We were on vacation in Koblenz and needed a vet. We walked in without an appointment. Great team. The vet was very competent and friendly. We were very impressed. Thank you again for the quick help.
