We would like to offer our friendly but firm comment to other guinea pig owners: Our three visits to this vet were disappointing and unhelpful each time. At the first appointment, our concerns centered on clearly visible biting lice, but Ms. Fehre immediately dismissed our concerns. Instead of a proper examination, we were told, rather didactic, that biting lice were "virtually invisible." At least there were spot-on drops, but the atmosphere was unfavorable: We felt condescending when we perceived something as a "layman." At the next visit, we brought a seriously ill guinea pig: paralysis, extreme weight loss, apathy, and hair loss, exactly like its previously deceased friends. The vet's response: the wrong diet was to blame. (Even though the animal ate the same food as its perfectly healthy companions.) Several times, she just shook her head and didn't listen when we pointed out other animals in the area with exactly the same illness. (who died due to symptoms at far too short intervals for this to be normal!) Finally, we received a stomach medication – unfortunately, a thorough examination beyond pressing on the guinea pig, causing it to squeal in pain, was not performed. It seemed as if they had already made a judgment and were simply looking for symptoms to confirm it. The third and final visit was to pick up Panacur: After extensive investigation, the emergency clinic had suspected E. cuniculi and prescribed the medication. We asked Ms. Fehre about it and were told to come over. But instead of receiving support, we only experienced ridicule: guinea pigs "don't get it" and it's only a disease in rabbits, and we constantly heard sarcastic lectures. We were interrupted every time, and even a colleague from the emergency practice was ridiculed in an unprofessional manner. On top of that, the Panacur, of all things, was out of stock. The icing on the cake of this unfortunate prospect. No matter the visit, the vet always claimed our guinea pigs were "underweight," even though their weight was completely within the normal range, which they always have when healthy (700–900g per female, 1300–1400g per male). We repeatedly felt criticized for our feeding, even though we had strictly adhered to the practice's information sheet. We ignored these accusations during the consultation, just as we ignored our concerns. This information sheet was also from the guinea pig website "Meerschweinchenwiese.de," where we have been getting our information for years. And yet it also states that guinea pigs can get E. cuniculi! In summary, our impression was consistently negative: A tone of condescension hung over all conversations, coupled with quick blame and devaluation. Serious diagnostics were practically never performed. We are not warning here to offend, but to inform other owners; friendly advice and respect for concerned owners look different. Please don't go there if you care about your pet. As another reviewer mentioned, they're good at giving painkillers or medications that barely make a difference, but you won't get serious treatment or even genuine concern for your pet there. I especially advise guinea pig owners not to go there!

We took our budgie there as an emergency, and I'm incredibly grateful for the help. The vet immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation, calmly explained what needed to be done, and operated right away. Our bird came through it all well and received loving and professional care. You could tell that experience, competence, and a genuine love for animals came together here. Thank you so much for the quick help and the wonderful care – I would recommend this practice without hesitation. 😊

Hello, I am absolutely outraged and furious. My cat had a bladder infection. Without any examination, she was given antibiotic injections that were completely ineffective. This cost me a lot of money because she kept signaling to me that she was fine. Finally, I had to take her to the animal hospital because she couldn't even move in the litter box anymore. If you care about animals, whatever you do, don't go to this veterinary practice!
