Great display case – the first aid course was very informative. Thank you for the lovely evening.
I took my 14-year-old dog, whom I inherited a few months ago, to Ms. Tichy because she was eating very little wet food and no dry food at all. Stool tests were performed, and the focus seemed to be on a possible intestinal infection. She received injections for pain and nausea, as well as an antibiotic. We also received prescription food (wet and dry), which my dog wouldn't even look at, plus tablets: antibiotics, painkillers, and anti-nausea medication. All in all, the bill came to almost €500, and several more tests were to follow, as she supposedly had multiple health issues due to her age. She claimed this was all necessary, but I felt very pressured by Ms. Tichy and got the impression that she was threatening me with animal welfare if I didn't comply with everything. She also suggested I surrender the dog to an animal shelter if the treatment was too expensive. I went to the next appointment without my dog to pick up the results and avoid further unpleasant treatments for the time being. The next day, a veterinarian from the animal welfare organization showed up at the door! She was very nice, though! We arranged to see another vet (super nice and understanding), who then found the solution to the problem: a broken tooth! Which Mrs. Tichy hadn't noticed because she hadn't looked in the mouth!
I am absolutely thrilled with this practice! The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, and you immediately feel comfortable. The entire team is incredibly dedicated, warm, and wonderful with the animals. The veterinarian is very experienced, always takes ample time, and provides honest and expert advice. You can tell right away that the animal's well-being is their top priority. My dog is usually very nervous at the vet, but here they treat him with patience and understanding. We gladly come for regular checkups and feel we are in excellent hands. A heartfelt recommendation!
Dr. Tichy was able to help our dog very quickly. She is a highly competent veterinarian who takes her time and patiently explains everything. No rushed service like in many other practices. We feel our animals are in very good hands with her and can definitely recommend her.
On several occasions, the wonderful and caring veterinary team was able to help me with sick and injured hedgehogs. Just today, Dr. Tichy helped another sick hedgehog. This is something I truly appreciate, and I am incredibly grateful. 🧡🦔🩹
