I contacted Dr. Hofe because I was looking for support, as my dog ​​has severe noise phobia. I often felt helpless (when my dog ​​sat there trembling, panting, and full of fear). Thunderstorms or New Year's Eve celebrations, but also many other noises, or when it was very stormy, were particularly frightening. I am so happy and grateful that I found Dr. Hofe. She has a very calm and empathetic manner and is very patient. Thanks to her, we have had really good results. With her wonderful support and guidance, I also know much better how to handle difficult situations and how to support my dog ​​appropriately. Things are much more relaxed for both me and my dog ​​now. We also discussed other topics; I have learned to reflect on myself much more, which is absolutely invaluable to me.

When we contacted Ms. Hofe, we were simply desperate. Our dog (a rescue from Romania) had developed a severe noise phobia. It was so bad that he would hide in the basement at the slightest unfamiliar noise; walks were completely out of the question. Ms. Hofe created a detailed training plan for us, and we maintained close communication throughout. Thanks to Ms. Hofe, we now have such a close bond with our dog that, after intensive training, we can finally give him the security he so desperately needs! In our experience, most dog trainers are completely overwhelmed by rescue dogs who exhibit anxiety and have grown up with little or no socialization. Ms. Hofe, a veterinary behaviorist, has made it possible for us to live together again. We are incredibly grateful to her!

After several difficult years and numerous trainers with virtually every known approach, we (Henry, a 5-year-old miniature poodle with aggressive tendencies, and I) finally found Ms. Hofe. Her approach differs from anything I've encountered before in that she focuses deeply on the individual relationship between human and dog, helping people understand and continually reflect on and adjust their own attitudes. She addresses stressors, needs, and feelings—in both humans and dogs—and their interactions more thoroughly and individually than others. Her Instagram posts offer insightful and competent content that provides further explanations and examples. With her calm and empathetic manner, she emphasizes understanding and counteracting behavior, reducing pressure, and achieving lasting, sustainable results rather than quick fixes.

Valérie not only possesses immense, profound expertise, but she was also incredibly helpful to me and, consequently, to my dog. She was exceptionally well-prepared, and you're in the best hands with her. I will definitely contact her again if needed!

Valérie helped us and our rescue dog Smitty in a situation where we humans were at our wits' end and truly desperate. Smitty, still young, had just suffered a slipped disc and was incredibly restless. He had developed the habit of whining at the slightest sign of uncertainty – and we didn't know what to do. With her empathetic and calm approach, Valérie helped us humans, in particular, to develop a different perspective and to discard many of the approaches we had been taught by other trainers. We are still working together and are gradually transitioning to a more normal daily routine with Smitty. We appreciate Valérie's helpfulness and her straightforward manner. She is truly committed to her clients, very accessible, and loves what she does.
