We recently started taking our dog and cat to this practice and are completely satisfied. The team is always friendly and treats our animals with great care. Dr. Schäfer takes plenty of time to answer all our questions and explains the treatments very clearly. We especially appreciate how she handles anxious animals – our dog calmed down immediately. The practice is also well-organized, and appointments are available quickly. We highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a competent and caring veterinarian!
Ms. Schäfer is an outstanding veterinarian! She's also one of the few specialists for rabbits, guinea pigs, and the like. We felt in good hands during each of our visits (and there were quite a few 😅). She takes her time with the animals and pays close attention to what's wrong with them. She's always available, even in emergencies, so I have to strongly disagree with the comments here. Ms. Schäfer and her team are clearly committed to animal welfare. This is evident during every visit and also in how relaxed the animals are after treatment. Thank you so much for your amazing work!
Unfortunately, due to poor treatment, we had to have our dog euthanized. Two vets confirmed this! The dog could still be alive! They refused to neuter him. We brought up his teeth because he always had inflammation on one side, but they said everything was fine. After the third time, I became suspicious and asked the receptionist to take a look. And we often brought our animals there for checkups every two weeks. He developed epilepsy due to stress (neutering) and incorrect medication. Well... We also complained to the vet about rabbit violence, as she was obviously a rabbit expert! I've never seen such a horrific scene; the euthanasia of rabbits has left me traumatized!!! There are vets who know what they're doing!!! Take care of your animals!
We took our cat to this veterinary practice several times and were unfortunately dissatisfied each time. We were never allowed to be present during the examination – the animal had to be dropped off at the front desk and then disappeared into the treatment room. This was very uncomfortable for us, as we would have liked to be with our cat during this time. The staff also often seemed unfriendly and unhelpful. Questions were answered curtly, and we didn't feel well cared for. Furthermore, the bills were consistently significantly higher compared to other veterinarians, without any explanation. We ultimately chose a different veterinarian where both the service and the value for money are much better.
We absolutely cannot recommend this veterinarian. We took our pet rat there and paid €164.55 for the examination, including antibiotics and pain medication. The diagnosis was a purulent abscess. It was torture trying to administer the medication orally with a syringe twice a day, and it was completely unnecessary because it was ineffective for such an abscess. Furthermore, it was a misdiagnosis. The tumor was subsequently surgically removed by another qualified veterinarian, and we paid significantly less than €164 for the examination, surgery, and medication! The cost of a subsequent surgery with Ms. Schäfer would have been approximately €350! So, the one star is for the prompt appointment. The rest was unfortunately a waste of money; €164 wasted as a learning experience…
