A very kind and competent veterinarian who cared for my cats with compassion. I've been there several times and can only recommend Ms. Ruch. I feel very well advised and well looked after in this practice.

I've been taking my cats to Dr. Ruch's veterinary practice for years. She's a very empathetic woman who only has the animals' well-being in mind. Three years ago, we had to have our cat put down, and she handled it very respectfully for him and for us. I highly recommend Dr. Ruch.

My harlequin dog, who was suffering from diarrhea, received competent and friendly treatment. Thank you so much for your patience with both animal and human! I'm so glad you're there!

My review pertains solely to the telephone contact during the emergency service. I contacted this practice during the weekend emergency service hours because my dog had completely torn out a claw during a walk and was bleeding heavily. Due to the amount of blood and the situation, I initially couldn't see that the claw was affected and suspected an injury to the pad. On the phone, I described the situation and explained that my dog kept pulling his paw away because of the pain and wasn't letting me examine him properly. Unfortunately, I found the response to be rather insensitive. Among other things, I was told, in essence, that they probably couldn't see him properly either and that I should have practiced giving him his paw more. I understand that emergency services are more expensive, and of course, I was prepared to pay for them if my dog was in pain and needed help. Nevertheless, I would have appreciated more understanding, empathy, and a more professional approach in this situation – especially since pet owners are already very worried and uncertain in such moments. I find it regrettable to have had this experience, and I hope that in the future people in emergency situations will be treated more sensitively.
