I want to say a huge thank you to Laura Michaelis and Sophia Lorenz. On September 26, 2025, I brought my dog Snoopy to the emergency clinic at 7:30 p.m. because he had bloody diarrhea, was vomiting blood, and was in very poor condition. I arrived and was immediately greeted, and things got started right away. I'd like to thank Ms. Lorenz, who was so kind and gentle with my four-legged friend Snoopy and examined and helped him immediately. Thanks to her, I was so relieved, and Snoopy was given an IV, antibiotics, and much more, and he pulled through. I'd like to thank them both again, and I would definitely come back if I needed anything. Thank you both again, and I would come back anytime. As a follow-up, on September 29, 2025, Snoopy had another check-up appointment with Ms. Lorenz and Laura Michaelis. They were very pleased and overjoyed that Snoopy was feeling much, much better. I received excellent advice on how to proceed with the medication, and Snoopy was given a restorative paste for his gastrointestinal tract. Everything was explained to me clearly and calmly. Snoopy and I felt very well cared for and comfortable. A big thank you to both of you again; you do a truly wonderful job. Update on September 30, 2025: Snoopy had his ultrasound appointment. Everyone was, as always, very kind and loving towards my four-legged friend. They kept him calm throughout, and I was able to be present. They explained everything to me very clearly, thoroughly, and in detail, including all the organs. They also answered all my questions and explained everything well. The vet also mentioned that if anything were to happen before the next appointment, I should call and let them know. A huge thank you again! I'll definitely be coming back here now, whether for a regular appointment or if something comes up. In addition, I'd like to extend my sincere thanks to Ms. Hagemann, who gave Snoopy another thorough examination on October 7th and treated him so gently, always addressing my concerns and any remaining anxieties. Snoopy had another x-ray, which revealed he had developed an infection and his lymph nodes were swollen. He received an injection, which made him very tame. Thank you so much for this wonderful care. I was always given clear instructions on how to proceed with the medication in the coming days. A huge thank you to the entire team; you do a fantastic job! Sincerely, Michelle Oldenburg and Snoopy

After an evening phone call (around 8:30 pm on a public holiday!), which was very, very friendly and empathetic, we drove our dog to the animal health center. We were warmly welcomed, waited a while, and then our dog was examined. Everything important and necessary was addressed systematically until the diagnosis was clear. The veterinarian explained everything to us in a very friendly, incredibly competent, and realistic manner, including that while she could perform the surgery, our dog would most likely need a blood transfusion, which she unfortunately couldn't provide on-site. In short: the Leipzig Animal Clinic would be our next stop. The veterinarian explained the next steps in detail, bid us farewell with very kind words, and so we set off for Leipzig—with the completely correct diagnosis and the feeling of knowing what to expect. There, our dog underwent emergency surgery. I am glad, grateful, and happy that there are veterinarians who offer such a service (evenings/holidays) and approach each day with passion, empathy, and superb expertise, even though some clients (who often call themselves "experts") have absolutely no clue about procedures, background information, or anything else, and simply lack understanding, and lash out wildly (and completely without any expertise!) via reviews in the virtual world. 'bashing' veterinarians with reckless abandon (and truly without any expertise whatsoever!) I would like to ask all those who express themselves in this way to dedicate themselves to veterinary studies in order to then run a practice with corresponding service hours outside of normal veterinary consultation hours (a statement like, "My vet would have done that differently," demands the flippant reply, "Well, he would have had to be open at that time in the first place."), so that they can "see things a little more clearly," assess the situation better, and ultimately conclude: "Look, there are HUMANS working here too! Not machines that are immune to everything, but intelligent, dedicated, sometimes stressed, thoughtful, empathetic people who, in my opinion, see far more suffering and difficult cases during emergency shifts than is typical in veterinary practice, and who treat every animal to the best of their knowledge and conscience." Dear team at the Animal Health Center: you have my utmost respect, and I am incredibly grateful! You do a fantastic job, you offer excellent service, and I am truly glad you exist! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ...hoping you won't let yourselves be discouraged!

On Saturday, July 18th, I sought first aid for my dog Finja, who had been suffering from a continuous seizure for about three hours. I was turned away with the explanation that she couldn't be admitted to the hospital. Tearfully, I begged if at least an anticonvulsant or some initial first aid could be given to stabilize my dog so I could then take her to the veterinary clinic in Leipzig. No, I received no help. After about four hours, her little body finally gave out. I was clearly denied first aid!

Highly competent veterinarians. My 12-year-old cat, who has heart problems, was there for dental surgery. Despite his sometimes challenging behavior, everyone was always friendly and cared for him with understanding. I received a call immediately after the surgery, informing me how it went and how he was doing, so I didn't have to worry. I felt well-informed at all times and had a very good feeling about the procedure. My cat is doing great again now. I highly recommend this practice.

I've been to the Lichtenau/Sa Animal Healing Center many times and have always received excellent advice and felt very well cared for there. They take their time and explain everything that needs to be done, what can be done, or even what they would do for their own animal in that situation. They are top-notch veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are knowledgeable and only want the best for the animals. I will continue to bring my animals there.
