Reviews
It's simply amazing how our Findus (a 12.5-year-old Border mix) has changed for the better after just the first treatment. Simply fantastic and highly recommended.
It's been a few years now since she's been my vet, and she's not only done excellent work but is also the most uncomplicated vet I've ever experienced. She's empathetic, patient, honest, upright, professional, and reliable. Every patient and owner is assessed individually, at their current stage of development, and she offers realistic treatment and other suggestions for improvement. If a particular procedure isn't necessary (e.g., for purely cosmetic reasons), not even ten horses could persuade her to perform it. She's always satisfied with the current stage of development, and I've been with her for several years now since I couldn't find a trustworthy vet in Switzerland.
By far a store where you can get pretty much everything and have space to shop
Unfortunately, I cannot share the positive reviews in any way. Several weeks ago, we (especially my mother) turned to Ms. v.D. for help. Unfortunately, we only received a response about two weeks later – with the comment that our request had been lost. That can happen, and we understood why. In her message, she asked if further help was needed. We confirmed this and then described our animal's medical history in detail. Our message was read – but after that, we heard nothing. There was no response for almost four weeks. Our animal has since passed away. We would have very much liked to have received at least some form of supportive feedback, or at least a note that she is unable to provide any help. Not every situation can be salvaged – but silence in such a difficult situation feels disappointing and helpless. We sincerely hope that other pet owners will have better luck in the future and receive the help they need promptly. By the way, I also wrote this in an email a few days ago. Surprise - again no reaction.
Unfortunately, I was probably too hasty with my assessment, so I'm now correcting my review.... I visited Anja von Dieken for the first time, and I was initially satisfied. My Jacky has been having ear problems for a while, which I had also told her. She had looked in his ear and said it was probably a yeast infection and that I should definitely change his food, then she gave me a cleaning agent to rinse it with. That was it. I immediately started changing his food. I know it takes time for the change to have a positive effect. I diligently cleaned his ear, and it did get better, then it got worse again, and then it went back to normal. I was disappointed because she didn't tell me I should come back for a check-up, and then I considered that none of the vets I consulted had taken an ear swab. So I went to the next vet. This vet did everything exactly as I would have expected from any vet... He took an ear swab, asked about his personality (temperament), and only then did he examine him very thoroughly (between his toes, his fur, his skin) and listened to how long he'd had these ear problems. This vet wasn't a homeopathic vet! The lab results showed a yeast infection with specific bacteria, which require specific treatment! In addition, my dog has very narrow ear canals, resulting in poor ear ventilation. Now I know what I'm dealing with!
