Anne-Kathrin Knipp

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Knipp for years. What I find particularly positive is that she takes their temperature and weighs them before every vaccination. While this is standard practice, I've never experienced it with other veterinarians. She is very thorough and also very honest. I am especially grateful to her for the compassionate care she gave my old dog when he was nearing the end of his life. At our request, she came to our home to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Unfortunately, no stars. Never again to this vet. Our daughter's dog, a German Shepherd/Labrador mix from a shelter in Slovakia, has only been with us for five months. A very peaceful and affectionate animal. The dog had a problem with a front paw and was limping. After calling ahead, Ms. Knipp refused to examine the dog because she couldn't fit the muzzle. Instead, our daughter was told to see another vet the following day and have the dog put under anesthesia. Ms. Knipp harshly criticized our daughter because the dog, after only five months with us, was panicking in the vet's office. She left the practice in tears, but not before having to pay a hefty fee for the denied treatment. Shame on you, Ms. Knipp, but that was a failure to provide assistance and extremely rude.

Caution! I submitted a chicken feces sample to Ms. Knipp, requesting a diarrhea test. I had this done by Ms. K. a few years ago. It cost 20 euros. Now I received a bill for almost 100 euros. Ms. Knipp's comment: I would have ordered it that way. Mind you, the chicken only cost 10 euros. If anyone else wants to go to her, I highly recommend finding out about the costs first, and ideally, getting it confirmed in writing.

We always took all our animals to Ms. Knipp. She always gave us excellent advice. Even after opening hours, we could reach her by phone and ask for help. We are very grateful for her dedication to our dogs and cats.

A very unfriendly woman. The examination of our dog was very superficial and only focused on the obvious areas. There was no search for other potential wounds, which is crucial after a fight. The wounds weren't cleaned, and only after asking did we receive some very basic advice on how to clean them. An injection, some pills, they took our money, and that was it. If we have an emergency on the weekend in the future, we will definitely avoid this place!
