We arrived today as an emergency case, and the receptionist told us to take a seat. After 20 minutes, we were told we could only enter one at a time. Two minutes later, we explained to the receptionist what was wrong with our cat, and we heard Dr. Brinkmann yelling in the room. We were then told to leave so we could take him to a clinic in Duisburg, as they couldn't accept any emergencies due to staff shortages. I will never go here again. I have never experienced anything so awful. 😡
This was my first vet visit with my two female cats, and frankly, I was probably more scared than the cats. But the first impression was positive; you can tell that Dr. Brinkmann-Block is truly very experienced. The cats weren't scared for a moment. It's clear that I prefer this smaller practice to impersonal veterinary clinics. This way, I have the security of knowing that the attending veterinarian knows the animals, and I have a direct contact person. Everything was just right here, and I can recommend the practice without reservation.
Very brusque and unfriendly. I visited her practice twice because my cat obviously had ear problems. She didn't recognize the acute inflammation but dismissed it as an alleged overproduction of earwax. I really cannot recommend this vet.
My cat started having extremely bad breath, like something was rotting or dead. I called Ms. Brinkmann, but she told me to wait three weeks for an appointment. We waited, and it just got worse. When the appointment finally arrived, Ms. Brinkmann examined both of our cats. She said, "Ugh, he really stinks," and that it was probably something stuck between his teeth, tartar, or a thyroid/kidney issue. We got an appointment for five weeks later. My cat stopped eating, just slept, and hid all the time. We went to the veterinary clinic in Haan, where, after a €230 bill and a seven-hour wait, they diagnosed my cat with cancer behind his tongue! We then went to Dr. Wallrafen in Niederkrüchten, Schwalmtal, and he said it should have been detected immediately; then something could have been done! It's an old, fast-growing cancer that would have been treatable when we first called. My cat is dead thanks to Dr. Brinkmann. I advise you not to go to her!
We've been going there with our cat for years and feel very well looked after. The animal has always been helped very quickly and competently. You can also get advice and help by phone outside of office hours. A doctor who cares about the animals, not about making a lot of money.
