I really appreciate that the appointment system means there are rarely other animals in the waiting room, which doesn't unnecessarily increase the stress level of my own pets. My two cats' problems are always thoroughly investigated, and their home environment (housing, noise, stress, feeding, changes in their living situation, etc.) is taken into account. The animals are treated with genuine care and respect during every appointment. I can highly recommend Dr. Stemmermann! She's an excellent veterinarian who truly cares about the well-being of her animal patients. I know Molly and Ivy are in very good hands at every appointment, and that's what matters most to me! I took my dog ​​to Dr. Stemmermann's veterinary practice for an emergency appointment. The positives: Dr. Stemmermann handled my dog ​​kindly. The practice also appears well-maintained and makes a good visual impression. The negatives: Since I wasn't aware beforehand that there was a separate emergency number outside of regular hours, I arrived at the practice without an appointment. Another veterinary clinic had previously referred me to the practice currently on duty. Although I apologized several times for this misunderstanding, the receptionist reacted with extreme irritation and in a very unfriendly tone. Despite my understanding, she refused to budge. When the veterinarian arrived, she asked me brusquely if my dog ​​was even an emergency case and emphasized that I shouldn't discuss it. Furthermore, I was asked accusingly if I was aware that I would have to bear all the costs myself. With my young daughter with me, I felt extremely humiliated in this situation. I only stayed for my dog's sake, as she was suffering from an acute illness for the first time in her life, and I was worried. Whether it was a classic emergency in retrospect is debatable—as her owner, I didn't know any better at the time. To preempt any potential justifications from the practice: Yes, there was a suspicion that the symptoms were due to a tick repellent purchased online. The treatment ultimately cost €316, which I will leave without comment. As an employee in a busy human medical practice, I am very familiar with the daily challenges and stress of on-call duty. Nevertheless, respect, empathy, and objectivity are fundamental to any practice—even when one wants to inform patients, or in this case, pet owners, about proper procedures.

We took our anxious dog to this veterinary practice for emergency treatment. Our dog is always muzzled during vet visits and was clearly very frightened due to his health condition. During the examination, he tried to resist out of fear. The attending veterinarian reacted in a completely unempathetic and unacceptable manner: she twisted his ear, held him by it, and yelled at him that she would "bite him to death" if he didn't calm down immediately. We were stunned and stunned by this behavior. We expect a veterinarian to treat our animals professionally and with empathy, especially when dealing with frightened animals in an emergency situation. Thankfully, our dog is doing better now. However, we will never go to this practice again. We reserve the right to report this to the veterinary authorities.
