We've been taking our German Shepherd, Yoda, to Dr. Verkühlen for quite some time now. We had him checked out immediately after we rescued him from the kill shelter. We're so happy to have him as our vet. He always takes his time, thoroughly investigates everything, answers our questions, and is always there to help and advise. Yoda has had bladder infections, giardia, and other issues, and he's always treated them effectively. I'm sure some of the reviews you read are just for show, but my wife and I always get the impression that he genuinely cares and is truly passionate about what he does. We can wholeheartedly recommend him. Thank you for everything! Best regards
Yes, sometimes you have to wait, even with an appointment. But that's normal when you go to a practice that also sees emergencies or acute patients. Which is absolutely right!!! The doctor is very direct and honest, which I personally prefer. He's also very competent. Better that than having false hopes raised. Which doesn't mean he isn't empathetic. He's a doctor, after all. You have to be a little more composed. The veterinary assistants are all incredibly kind, competent, and helpful. We (my dog and I) received very quick and competent help in a difficult case. After being told beforehand that they couldn't guarantee anything and that I should think it over. So they're not just in it for the money, but to help the patients. Great practice. Great team. Great doctors. We'll be back.
I feel very well cared for with my two cats. All treatments so far have been very personal and extremely well explained. And most importantly for me: if there's an emergency, you can come in promptly without having to wait for days. Dr. Verkühlen and the entire practice team are extremely friendly, and you can feel the love for animals that all the staff have every second!
