I was there about three weeks ago because I noticed my cat was twitching in one eye, and since my usual vet didn't have any appointments available that day and I didn't want to take any risks, I came here. I wanted to get it checked out that same day, as I didn't want to take any chances with my cat's eye. When I went there, there was a relatively young woman (I'm not sure if she was a veterinarian or just a veterinary assistant). In any case, she was very empathetic with my cat and, using the neon green liquid, she recognized that there was a slightly sore spot on his eye. I got eye drops and an ointment and was relieved and happy that it wasn't anything serious. A week later, I went back for a follow-up appointment, and this time there was a man (I think he was the actual vet). He was quite rough with my cat, in a way I'd never seen before. He turned my cat's carrier 90 degrees so that my cat practically fell out, and I wonder, would it have been so difficult to open the cage again with the clips? Then he also put the neon green liquid in my cat's eye, looked at it for maybe two seconds, and then said something like, "Look? Well, I can't see anything anymore" (which was already strange, because I myself am... (Not a vet, so relatively incompetent, as he didn't even bother to ask me how I saw it) and he didn't even look at the right spot in the eye, just gave it a very superficial glance for less than 10 seconds. Because everything happened so quickly, I didn't notice that he simply let the green fluid get into my cat's eye, so I had to dab it off myself at home. My cat was fine afterward, but I strongly advise against going to these guys if you value an empathetic vet who takes their time. Imagine if it's something more serious than "just" a sore eye and you're "helped" by a doctor who neither takes their time nor examines properly. I can highly recommend my regular veterinary practice, Dirk Botzenhardt, if anyone is looking for vets who take their time and are truly empathetic with animals, but this practice only gets one star from me for their incompetent and rushed approach.

We've been taking our German Shepherd, Yoda, to Dr. Verkühlen for quite some time now. We had him checked out immediately after we rescued him from the kill shelter. We're so happy to have him as our vet. He always takes his time, thoroughly investigates everything, answers our questions, and is always there to help and advise. Yoda has had bladder infections, giardia, and other issues, and he's always treated them effectively. I'm sure some of the reviews you read are just for show, but my wife and I always get the impression that he genuinely cares and is truly passionate about what he does. We can wholeheartedly recommend him. Thank you for everything! Best regards

I feel very well cared for with my two cats. All treatments so far have been very personal and extremely well explained. And most importantly for me: if there's an emergency, you can come in promptly without having to wait for days. Dr. Verkühlen and the entire practice team are extremely friendly, and you can feel the love for animals that all the staff have every second!
