Reviews
I finally found a highly competent veterinarian for my Greek tortoise. Appointments were available quickly, and the practice's procedures were very well-organized. The vet was very gentle with my tortoise. The consultation was respectful and approachable. The vet is very personable, and the assistant is also wonderfully kind. Both pet and owner can feel very well cared for here. I highly recommend this veterinarian if you value expertise and a friendly approach.
The staff is incredibly friendly, there's no other way to put it. However, I wouldn't take reptiles there. I went a few weeks ago as a substitute vet because my water turtle was sick. The reception was friendly, but the examination was completely negative. The turtle was examined first (everything seemed fine up to that point), then they claimed my turtle was a female. I've had my turtle for 28 years. He's definitely a male. Then they asked questions about his care, which was fine until I was asked to look up the ingredients of his food, as information like the brand of food apparently wasn't enough. From then on, I didn't see my turtle again. He was x-rayed, and they showed me the image. His lungs were slightly compressed, and his kidneys supposedly looked bad, so they took blood. The blood test came back perfect, which didn't match the x-ray. The vet kept coming out, just to tell me what I was doing wrong. In the end, she said she wasn't going to do anything for the turtle. He'd had blisters in front of his nose for days, which usually indicates a respiratory infection, and his eye was cloudy. With such small animals, this can quickly worsen. So I paid over €200 just so the vet could tell me she wouldn't do anything. When I asked, I got some eye ointment. What can I say? The next day I went to the animal hospital, and the tortoise got antibiotics and eye drops. At the follow-up appointment with my regular vet, the tortoise got another vitamin injection. Both eyes were examined. Both were still slightly inflamed. My vet just shook her head. She runs a tortoise rescue center herself, so she knows what she's talking about. Even at the animal hospital, they told me that if we hadn't treated him, we would have been there as an emergency case a few days later. I spent enough money at Dennert's practice, but unfortunately, without any effective or targeted treatment.
I can wholeheartedly recommend them. The people are very lovely and kind. I'm also very impressed with the exterior; it's truly very pleasant!
Very nice staff, friendly and experienced veterinarian. We got an appointment quickly and easily. Would gladly use them again.
I called this veterinary practice for the first time today and received an incredibly warm welcome. Since my previous vet retired, I was looking for a new practice for my cats, and I couldn't have asked for a better start. The entire team is very welcoming and immediately took the time to address my concerns. I was offered the option of sending my cat's medical records directly by email, and I actually received a detailed response from the vet the same day. I was particularly impressed by how understanding and clear the receptionist was in answering my questions, even though I hadn't even been to the practice in person before. You can immediately tell that the animals' well-being is their top priority. When I asked if they could take my cat on as a patient, I received a loving, "Yes, as long as the little one is doing well." This feeling of security and care is priceless. If I could, I would give them not just 5, but 100 stars! Absolutely recommendable, a fantastic team with a real heart for animals.
