Great vet, After calling at least 10 vets on January 4th, all of them on vacation or busy, I called her. On Monday, January 1st, our 8-month-old cat was at the vet clinic. He had a fever of 42, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. He received injections upon injections, IV drips, and medications. On Thursday, he was still vomiting and diarrhea, and, fearing the weekend, I tried to get an appointment no matter where. Our vet was on vacation like almost everyone else. I got an appointment with Ms. Oberwittler right away. I drove 40 minutes there, examined the cat, looked at the clinic's report, received recommendations on which medications to avoid, received nutritional advice, and injected homeopathic remedies plus two fluid depots, and lo and behold, he's doing better. He still needs to be fed, but he tolerates natural foods better than chemicals. Things are looking up. I promised I'd call the next day to see how he was doing so I could come back in case of an emergency, but everything's fine. Great advice, fantastic vet. I'll probably switch and drive 40 minutes each time. If you want or are interested in alternative treatments for your pet, that's great, not just the big injections. They helped on Monday for the time being, but I'm glad we were able to further stabilize our little darling naturally on Thursday. However, I would have tried any other treatment in that situation, which other doctors would certainly have done for twice the price.
We had a dental emergency, and Dr. Oberwittler, her daughter, and their team took a lot of time for us, even though we weren't their clients. They cared for my little Mika well into the evening. Thank you so much again!
Not recommended! The animal rescue referred me to this practice because they had an emergency service. When I called, they told me, "Contact your vet. Your dog isn't listed in my practice!" A great attitude for an emergency vet. My vet then treated my dog at his practice on Saturday morning, even though it was closed.
