Reviews
Very practical and trustworthy veterinarian.
Fantastic vet! After calling at least ten vets on January 4th, all of whom were either on vacation or fully booked, I finally called this one. On Monday, January 1st, our eight-month-old kitten was in the animal hospital with a fever of 42°F (100.4°C), bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. He received injection after injection, IV fluids, and various medications. On Thursday, he was still vomiting and having diarrhea, and fearing the weekend, I tried to get an appointment anywhere, but even our usual vet was on vacation, like almost everyone else. I managed to get an appointment with Ms. Oberwittler right away, so I drove 40 minutes. She examined our kitten, reviewed the hospital report, gave me recommendations on which medications to discontinue, provided nutritional advice, and administered homeopathic remedies plus two liquid injections. And lo and behold, he's doing better! He still needs to be fed, but he tolerates the natural foods much better than the chemical treatments. He's on the mend. I promised to call the next day to let her know how he was doing, so I could come back if necessary, but everything is going well. Excellent advice, great veterinarian, I'll probably switch and drive 40 minutes each way. If you're interested in alternative treatments for your pet, it's great – not just the heavy injections. They helped on Monday, but I'm glad we were able to stabilize our darling naturally on Thursday. I would have used any other treatment in that situation, which I'm sure other vets would have done for twice the price.
Not recommended! Animal rescue referred me to this practice because they were on call. When I called, I was told, "Contact your regular vet. Your dog isn't listed at my practice!" A fantastic attitude for a doctor on call. My regular vet then treated my dog on Saturday morning at his practice, even though it was closed.
I got an appointment quickly. Friendly advice. Everything was very pleasant.
