Dr.med.vet. Steffen Gremmes Tierarzt

Unfortunately I can only give one star and if I could I would change it to a negative star. Reason for this: On November 20th 2024 my dog had a seizure. In the morning at 4:00 a.m. it is unfortunately difficult to get treatment in Göttingen. The first call was to the veterinary emergency service. I reached a lady there who was completely overwhelmed. So I called the Gremmes practice because the word emergency service was mentioned three times on their homepage alone. The lovely lady first asked if I was a customer. The second answer was that I should put the animal in a crate when it was no longer having seizures and come to the consultation. When I pointed out the time, she replied, "Oh yes, then maybe call the emergency service." (Lord, send brains from heaven....) I then took my dog to the veterinary clinic in Kaufungen, who tried everything but unfortunately had to inform me in the evening that my dog had not made it. Dear practice team: delete the emergency service from the homepage. Write in bold letters that you only provide emergency service for your customers. Because of this false advertising, I lost valuable time that could have potentially saved my dog. We were customers... but definitely not anymore. What a shame, what a shame, what a shame.

We are extremely satisfied with this practice. Since my dog ​​couldn't/wouldn't get the help he needed at another practice, we went to Dr. Gremmes' practice. If the vet hadn't done what I insisted on, which another vet at the other practice refused to do, I probably would have lost my dog ​​to an intestinal obstruction. A thousand thanks to Dr. Gremmes and his colleagues! 😁 We will continue to go there because everything is just perfect.

A fantastic practice! Appointments were scheduled very quickly, they were always reachable, and the team, including Drs. Gremmes, were highly competent and empathetic. We felt we were in the very best hands until the sad end of our dog's life. THANK YOU!

When I got home today, my cat couldn't walk and was crying in pain. Our usual vet offered me an appointment for the following afternoon… My horse is a patient at Dr. Gremmes' practice, so in desperation, I called them. We were able to come in immediately, and my cat received prompt care. My cats will definitely be switching vets to Dr. Gremmes now. I expect a vet to see me when I call at 3 p.m. for an emergency, not offer me an appointment 24 hours later. An emergency isn't like a vaccination, where I have to make an appointment. An emergency can always come in and just wait, and they'll squeeze me in if it's convenient. The staff is also very nice and polite.
