A fantastic team that cares for the animals with great heart and expertise. You immediately feel well looked after – the advice is honest and the practice is modernly equipped. Highly recommended for all furry friends in Rostock!

After moving, I looked for a new veterinary practice and was welcomed very easily. The premises are very nice, and the staff are generally all very friendly. During the initial appointments, they even gave me some good tips on products that aren't sold through the practice. However, for me, it's the wrong practice because too many mistakes are made, and there's too much internal chaos and unreliability: > Diagnoses are made too quickly, which later turn out to be wrong (e.g., the cat most likely has heart failure vs. the cat was probably just stressed from the journey). > From the very beginning, they showed uncertainty regarding how to handle tortoiseshell cats (at least in my case – they repeatedly told me that tortoiseshell cats are very special and that I "have to be careful"). I have never encountered such issues in any other practice. > Major billing errors simply slip through the cracks and are only discovered after inquiries (food was listed in the system for €250 instead of the correct €25). > Inquiries about the effectiveness of (expensive) medications are answered evasively. Only when manufacturer studies are brought up is it admitted that the medication's suitability regarding efficacy and duration of use is not as proven as initially suggested (furthermore, it is questioned whether pet owners are even capable of reading manufacturer studies). > Incorrect instructions regarding the necessary fasting period before blood draws were given; this duration was confirmed by several employees upon inquiry. This made the blood draw an ordeal for both cats, resulting in invalid test results. > Promised reimbursements as compensation are not implemented to the agreed extent (they don't remember/other employees are unaware of it). > Agreed-upon callbacks do not occur; instead, services are performed and billed without prior agreement. Clarification was only possible after multiple calls (from me) over several weeks; due to constantly changing staff at reception, the situation was never known and had to be discussed internally each time. Generally, they bill at the highest rate, making their services comparatively expensive. If reliability and performance were up to par, that might be perfectly acceptable, but unfortunately, that's not the case here. I have never experienced such chaos and such unreliability, and for the reasons mentioned, I have changed practices. I can only urge that these issues be addressed so that other patients/clients don't have to repeat themselves. Finally, I would also like to add that a formal apology really shouldn't be too much to ask. Apart from one of the treating physicians and the somewhat older, more experienced receptionist, no one involved has even apologized for any of the incidents (and the latter wasn't even involved).

We needed the veterinary clinic's help on May 9, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM. The clinic was on call. It was Saturday evening, and our dog Emil was having trouble walking. We felt well cared for and received a very friendly welcome. After a thorough examination, Emil was quickly helped. I highly recommend this clinic. Special thanks to Mr. Zerbel. We would go back anytime in an emergency.
