After five weeks in which we have struggled to cope with the loss of our cat, we feel compelled to leave a few words here. Empathy is just as important here as the love for animals, both for Dr. Morton and his receptionist, Lisa. During our cat's last weeks, we, and especially our tiger, received excellent care at all times, both during and outside of office hours. Lunch breaks and evenings were postponed to address our animal's suffering. We were even given the opportunity to contact Mr. Morton while he was on vacation. We were able to use our Alfons' last minutes in the practice outside of office hours to say goodbye and be with him until his last breath. Thank you for that!!! We find it incomprehensible that Mr. Morton is being accused of rip-offs when he adheres to the applicable fee schedule imposed on him and ultimately on us as pet owners by law. Even if this fee had been much lower, our cat would have crossed the rainbow bridge just the same. As mentioned above, love for animals and empathy are very important here. Yes, we received the bill, but only two weeks later, which is unusual... and what made us especially happy was that we received a handwritten sympathy card with personal words about the loss of our cat. That's also unusual. Thank you, dear team at Doc Morton's, for supporting Alfons during his last weeks and for being who you are. We wish you a peaceful Christmas season. J. & C. S
