Reviews
I highly recommend the Kapahnke and Schäfer practice! From the moment you enter the practice, you can feel the warm and friendly atmosphere emanating from all the staff. The team is not only professional and competent, but also incredibly compassionate and caring in their interactions with the animals. Our dog, who is normally very anxious about vet visits, immediately felt at ease. The vet took plenty of time to calm him and explain every step of the examination to us in detail. You can immediately tell that the people working here love their work and are truly committed to the welfare of the animals. I particularly appreciated the thorough diagnostics. We were thoroughly informed about the treatment options and felt in excellent hands at all times. In addition, the waiting times are very short, as the appointments seem to be very well organized. I am truly grateful to have found such an excellent veterinary practice and can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kapahnke. The welfare of the animals is our top priority here, and you can see that at every moment! Many thanks to the entire team for the wonderful support and outstanding service. We'd love to come back!
A truly fantastic practice. I always enjoy coming here. Even my little Shiba Inu gets treated here. He hadn't accepted any of the previous vets. Even though he growls a bit, he tolerates it. The practice is also often pleasantly quiet, so there are fewer conflicts with other dogs. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice.
My experience with differential diagnosis here was not positive. Our dog had barely gone into heat for over two years, suffered from recurring episodes of hair loss, a dry vagina, loss of appetite, a gradual decline in her usual performance, and slightly elevated liver and gallbladder values. Throughout this entire period, veterinarian Kapahnke failed to detect the recurring uterine inflammation that had recently become so severe that her life depended on it, and she required emergency surgery at an animal hospital. Dr. Kapahnke, who was our regular vet, seemed baffled. She prescribed a liver-specific diet for the recurring hair loss and, during the ultrasound examination, failed to detect a kidney. She expressed considerable uncertainty in interpreting the ultrasound images, remarking, "The kidney will be there. After all, there are two kidneys." The veterinary clinic that operated on our dogs in distress confirmed that the almost fatal uterine infection should have been detected months, possibly even a year, earlier. Dr. Kapahnke refused all responsibility for our pet's terrible suffering.
Very friendly and competent...and no long wait...plus a happy dog....thank you!
I always love coming here with my cat and feel completely at ease. The whole team is incredibly friendly and empathetic, and they always take their time. You can tell everyone here is truly passionate about what they do – we'll definitely be back! 🐾
