I came to see you today with my dog because he had swallowed a sharp metal object. In a panic, I immediately ran into your practice – just two minutes away. It was 11:55 a.m., and the lady at the reception was already there with a broom, apparently ready to call it a day. My first question upon entering the practice – with tears in her eyes and my dog in her arms – was met with a cold, icy reply: "Are you a patient here?" When I said no, she immediately replied: "Then we can't do anything for you." My request for at least an x-ray to be on the safe side was met with the simple answer: "Well, you can see I'm just finishing work. There's no way we can help you right now; just go to the veterinary clinic." For me, this behavior is not only unfriendly, but simply irresponsible. This was an acute emergency – and instead of receiving help or at least a brief assessment, I was simply turned away simply because there was no patient file and it was five minutes before lunchtime. Anyone working in a medical profession with living creatures should bring empathy, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to help. Unfortunately, I experienced the exact opposite here. It's clear to me: I will never visit this practice again – and I strongly advise any pet owner not to rely on support here in an emergency.
