I can't think of anything else to say about this practice. 🤬🤬. Turning away a choking dog. Even though it only took us five minutes to get there. They said they had no more capacity. We should take this dog to the clinic, which would take half an hour. That's just not acceptable. One star is already too many. 🤬

First of all: Dr. Jendrysek was THE veterinarian we trusted. Super competent and empathetic with both people and animals. It's understandable that you can't always choose your vet for urgent problems, and that was never an issue! All the vets we saw always gave us kind and excellent advice and treatment! Even if a statement might claim otherwise... here's what happened: My husband took one of our dogs (a 10-year-old female pug who had undergone general anesthesia for a partial tail amputation just a month or two prior) to the practice on short notice because of an inflammation between her toes, for which we were, of course, very grateful, as always. He saw Dr. Weis, who suggested putting the dog under a short sedative the next day, since she had tolerated the previous anesthesia well, in order to make an incision in the paw instead of trying to treat it for a long time?! I might have agreed to it for a young dog, but for an older lady who had just had anesthesia, surely that can't be the first choice of treatment (in my opinion)?! Every anesthetic is an unnecessary risk for me, one I'd like to avoid. If nothing else works... well, then that's just how it has to be. So when my husband came home with this news, I slightly flipped out and, after much back and forth, canceled the surgery appointment because I simply didn't have a good feeling about it. Then, rather presumptuously, I asked for an appointment with Dr. Jendrysek because I wanted to hear her opinion. At the same time, I also wrote a long email to Dr. Weis, apologizing for the inconvenience and assuring her that I certainly didn't mean to question her competence, but I simply didn't have a good feeling about another anesthetic and would have preferred to avoid the risk. They thanked me for my apology but simultaneously asked me to find a new veterinarian. I found that truly pathetic, and it still makes me sad to this day! Strangely enough, almost everyone (including other veterinarians) understands my decision. Only Dr. Weis apparently can't and won't tolerate any other opinion. What a shame! P.S. The inflammation was treated for about a week with a cortisone-based tincture and cleared up after that. To top it all off, the bill for this "examination" arrived in the mail in November (half a year later!). Of course, we paid it. After all, the "examination" did take place... Thanks for...?

Absolutely overpriced vet. Several times, another vet charged double or triple the price for the same treatment.

My cat is a patient at this practice. So far, we've always been greeted warmly and kindly. The examinations have always been thorough and professional. Good communication is key, and this practice does it well. Keep up the good work! We are extremely satisfied. 🐾
