I'm very satisfied with the Brandau veterinary practice in Baumbach! The vets and staff are very helpful, polite, and friendly. They have a big heart for animals! Since 2018, my cat (13 years old) has been there for treatment very often (almost every year, several times at the beginning). Whenever "Murrrsik" wasn't feeling well, he received excellent care at the practice. A few times, they even saved his life! My "Murrrsik" has already had surgery and many other health problems. He has overcome all his illnesses and recovered well, thanks to the professional work and good advice of the vets! Medications, vaccinations, and surgery—everything helped! I was there again just a few weeks ago. My cat is doing well, fit as a fiddle! The Brandau veterinary practice is similar to a doctor's office in humans and is frequently visited. There are always people with their animals in the waiting room, which is large and comfortable. There are several examination rooms. All the staff are reliable and caring. I can always rely on this practice when my pet needs help! I'm so grateful and happy to have them! I can only recommend them ;)
I was referred to Dr. Brandau as an emergency patient late one afternoon with my dog, who was clearly very ill. My first impression was of a very friendly practice. Several examinations were performed, blood was drawn, etc. Later and later it got. What followed was no proper diagnosis, no clear communication, and the only topic discussed was "immediate euthanasia." I didn't agree and was quite appalled by the way we were treated. What I completely missed was a sensitive and open conversation about my dog's illness, not a half-hearted diagnosis that I, as a layperson, couldn't understand at all. It's a shame, really, because I had initially gotten a pretty good impression of the practice.
