It's often a difficult process for both humans and animals. My dog is never really enthusiastic, even though nothing has ever happened to him here. On the contrary, the visit always yields a positive result. The latter was the dental treatment... tartar removal and teeth cleaning. We always have this done regularly, and it's important. Especially with smaller dogs, problems can arise here, and almost complete tooth loss is often unavoidable. Inflammation can lead to serious illnesses. Despite regular treatment, my beloved had to have a tooth extracted, somewhere in the back teeth. Nothing serious and quite normal, even at a dog's advanced age. After an hour, everything was done, and my dog was also very grateful. It's possible he was also in pain, which unfortunately we can't really fix...
Very friendly and helpful. Vet is very kind and understanding towards animals.
Today we took our cats to Dr. Nießen's practice for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. We were particularly impressed that appointments can apparently be booked at short notice, which is a huge plus for us. The practice is just a few minutes' walk away – actually a key reason for switching vets, as accessibility is simply essential in our daily lives. Those arriving by car should be aware that parking is mostly available in the surrounding residential areas, but this wasn't an issue for us. The practice itself is very spacious, especially the waiting room. While all the animals wait together in one room, we were the only ones there during our visit, which was ideal for our rather anxious and shy cat, Mona. We also appreciated the water station in the waiting area. Dr. Nießen took plenty of time for our cats and to answer my questions. The entire visit was pleasantly uncomplicated, calm, and significantly less stressful than many previous vet appointments. Especially with Mona, who is usually very skeptical and anxious about vet visits, it was wonderful to see how relaxed and brave she was here. Dr. Nießen completely won us over, both professionally and personally: highly competent, communicative, and transparent. Compared to our previous vet, he explained things much more thoroughly, which gave us a great sense of security. We also particularly appreciate the fair price-performance ratio – at no point do we feel pressured into unnecessary treatments or additional services. We are certain: Our cats are in good hands here, and we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended!
Great practice (doctor and assistants)! We switched our 15 1/2-year-old dog Ben to Dr. Nießen and are more than satisfied. The price-performance ratio is excellent, and the team, including Dr. Nießen himself, is very friendly. The dental surgery went smoothly, and our dog recovered very quickly, which is something we can't say about our previous experience at another practice. Keep up the good work!
Our trusted veterinarian – practically our "family doctor with a furry side"! 🐶🐱 We've been here several times: after injuries, during pregnancies, and probably soon for emotional support after particularly chaotic days 😅 And every time, we've been treated with calm, expertise, and a whole lot of heart. Whether it's an emergency, a routine check-up, or just a case of "I think something's wrong" – you're in the best hands here. Our animals don't exactly go in willingly, but they definitely come out in a better mood 😉 In short: Top-notch expertise, wonderful personality, and absolutely recommendable. If there were six stars, this vet would deserve them all ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A clear recommendation! 🐾💙
