Reviews
A lovingly and competently run practice. Easily accessible and with generous opening hours. Highly recommended.
Excellent advice and treatment. Empathetic towards the dog, highly competent. Very friendly staff.
Absolutely not recommended. We arrived on Monday, October 20, 2025, in an absolute emergency with an open pyometra. The doctor was once again greedy for money. So, yes, both husband and wife wanted to give him another antibiotic injection, just like the year before, for 3 x 160 euros instead of removing the dog's uterus. Every time, he blames the patient and scares him. She's terminally ill, it has to be removed. The injection could cure it, but it doesn't have to... save your money, because the disease will come back lol. It happened again. I was there in the emergency room on Monday, October 20, 2025, and the doctor refused me despite the dog's terminal emergency. The operation would have cost 800 euros, and unfortunately, I only had 400 euros available. I would have paid the rest by the 1st of the month. He coldly refused and wanted to let my Shiva die on the doorstep, saying, "Thank you." To your predecessors... I was just thinking about how, in terms of race, religion, appearance, or what does he mean??? We never owed anything to the doctor... I'm just an animal lover who was in need with his animal. On top of that, upon arrival, he just wanted to inject antibiotics again without saying anything, so it was a pure money-making scheme, until I said, hi, we're talking about surgery and costs, so it's a complete rip-off, especially since one of these injections costs 160 euros once and doesn't cure anything at all. I ended up leaving the practice with a 155 euro receipt just for a blood draw and a blood count. Absolutely inhumane, and this calls himself a doctor. He doesn't want to operate because I'm short on money, and then charges us another 155 euros in a life-or-death situation. I mean, maybe it's because I'm a migrant? In this practice, you are condemned to death... no matter which animal lover is in need and penniless and suddenly wants or needs to go there... Please don't go there, because these "doctors" only want euros, not to save animals! I don't think you should call yourself a doctor if you don't want to save a terminally ill dog because you don't have 400 euros!!!
We are so happy to have found such competent veterinarians in the Martens family, who lovingly and professionally care for our little treasure. Everything was explained to us very clearly and patiently. All examinations were carried out gently and carefully with Louis. Our Maltese, at 11 years old, has a serious illness. After a few weeks of treatment, we are seeing progress; everything is developing in our dog's favor. We are glad that they are walking this path with us and that we can contact the practice team at any time in an emergency. We can wholeheartedly recommend this practice!
Our lionhead cat had his teeth trimmed. It was so lovely to see the care and experience shown here. They also discovered mites in his fur and treated them right away. Dr. and Mrs. Martens are our trusted veterinarians. Thank you so much, Dr. Martens and Dr. Martens!
