Reviews
We feel completely at ease with our dog at the Müller veterinary practice in Hooksiel! The animal's needs are truly catered to. If our dog shows fear, they respond incredibly sensitively and try to alleviate his anxiety. The entire team takes their time, listens attentively, and examines very thoroughly. This calm and caring approach gives us great peace of mind. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful practice and can wholeheartedly recommend it! 🐾
I don't usually write reviews, but I'm incredibly grateful that it's the least I can do for this practice. We came to this practice because we returned from vacation on a Saturday evening and our cat suddenly had differently sized pupils. Dr. Müller was on call, and I frantically called him several times around 11:00 p.m. He called me back immediately and reassured me right there on the phone (it wasn't as urgent as I had feared) and asked us to come in the next day. He was already extremely empathetic, calm, and friendly. Our cat was completely relaxed with him, and so were we after the visit. But it didn't stop there... about a week later, we went to our regular vet for the same issue because our cat suddenly got worse again after we stopped giving him pain medication. She spent quite a while diagnosing our little guy with blood tests and so on, but unfortunately, she ultimately made the wrong diagnosis, and he was treated incorrectly as a result. We watched our cat's condition deteriorate, and after four IV infusions and vet visits, trying to get him to eat every two hours (for over a week), I became furious and desperately called Dr. Müller's practice, explaining the whole situation to the receptionist. She was incredibly kind and patient, listening to every detail! And she said I could come in right away. I packed up the little guy, my heart racing, and broke out in a cold sweat, and drove him to the vet for the fifth time in eight days. A quick look at the blood work, complete with a clear explanation, a sympathetic ear, and a truly wonderful, respectful encounter with Dr. Müller, who took my thoughts and worries to heart, led to the correct diagnosis. Today, just one day later, after nine days of only being able to get treats and "feeding paste" that we had to force-feed him, the cat is eating completely normally again. What I particularly appreciate is that both times he felt it was important to hear what I had to say about my pet and that I could express my suspicions without feeling attacked. Unfortunately, my previous experiences were completely different; veterinarians (and human doctors too :D) often feel their competence is questioned when you voice your suspicions about diagnoses. I think it's perfectly understandable that pet owners do their own research, and sometimes it's crucial to prevent their pet from dying due to incorrect treatment. So, since we have three cats with FIV, we will only ever take them to this practice from now on! By the way, I find the practice incredibly clean and pleasant-smelling; it doesn't feel like a slaughterhouse at all. Schelm and his humans are incredibly grateful! Please, everyone, stay just the way you are! ♡
A veterinary practice that deserves more than five stars. Fantastic vets with competence and empathy, who also exude a remarkable calm (helpful for the animal patients and their owners alike), incredibly friendly medical assistants, a bright, modern, and very clean practice, and truly fair prices. I'm so glad we ended up with Dr. Müller for an emergency and grateful that we were able to continue seeing him afterward. Our "forever vet" with a heart of gold. More than just a recommendation...
