A very thorough and competent doctor, and very friendly. My dog gets excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot. As a working professional, I really appreciate that there's no waiting time; at other practices, I've had to wait for several hours. Highly recommended!
Dr. Rettig is a very friendly and competent veterinarian. It's clear she has a great deal of experience in her profession. She has been caring for our animals since 2015 and, in emergencies, even makes time for regular patients on days when she's officially closed. Contrary to what some online portals state, Dr. Rettig does, of course, accept card payments. Appointments are always available quickly.
I had scheduled an appointment for 12 noon by phone. Due to a confusing turn (Google Maps shows it incorrectly), I was three minutes late. Instead of receiving understanding or at least a polite conversation, I was dismissed in an extremely unfriendly and curt manner. My dog was not treated – instead, I was referred directly to an animal hospital with which they apparently have a close working relationship. Whether commissions are involved remains speculation, but the impression was not confidence-inspiring. Particularly alarming: they claimed my dog looked "catastrophic" and needed to go to the hospital immediately – a statement that terrified me. However, a second veterinary opinion later that same day revealed: just a mild infection, absolutely no reason to panic. To be treated like this for being three minutes late (caused by the misleading navigation) strikes me as utterly inhumane. Furthermore, they later claimed I should have arrived "before noon" – that was never the agreement. What was particularly disturbing was that they claimed I should have arrived "before noon." I have rarely experienced such a condescending tone and so little empathy. Another visit there is definitely out of the question for me.
Today was my first time ever visiting a veterinary practice. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. Rettig and the veterinary assistant welcomed me very warmly and gave me advice about my little kittens. I'm very grateful and can recommend the vet with a clear conscience. Thank you 🙏
Absolutely awful! When my cat was hit by a car and I rushed to this "veterinarian," I was left outside for five minutes because she wanted to take her dog away. No empathy whatsoever, she moved at a snail's pace, and showed absolutely no interest in my pet or me. Her Sunday was clearly more important to her. After I was finally let in, completely panicked, she told me in a monotone that she could give the cat fluids, but it wouldn't do any good because she was already dead. She didn't even try to help. Instead, she insisted on telling me how much more she loved animals than I did, while my kitten lay dead in my arms. And then she had the nerve to charge me €50 for absolutely nothing but sheer rudeness. This all happened months ago. I've more or less come to terms with my kitten's death and have since found a new veterinarian who is worlds better and more competent than this one. This all happened months ago. I've somewhat processed the death of my kitten and have since found a new vet who is worlds better and more competent than this one. ... I advise everyone to stay away from this woman. She couldn't care less about your animals; she makes absolutely no effort. When my kittens were still kittens, I had to help her with their vaccinations. How some people get their licenses is beyond me. I often wonder if my cat would still be alive if I had chosen a different veterinarian back then. I wish Ms. Rettig all the worst in the world. She is heartless and disgusting.
