I rarely write reviews, but I just wanted to speak up publicly because I absolutely cannot understand the negative comments. My dog was very unwell on Monday. As a relatively inexperienced dog owner, I naturally panicked and called my usual veterinary practice. However, I was turned away and told to find a new practice, as they didn't have time. Since I recently moved to Herdecke, this practice was recommended to me several times. So I called and got through immediately. The veterinary assistant took the time to talk to me, calmed me down, and even explained to me, free of charge, in a calm tone, what I should do. I followed her instructions exactly, and lo and behold: my dog was soon feeling much better. Today we had our first in-person appointment. My dog was thoroughly examined, and I can honestly say that I have never met such a wonderful veterinarian—absolutely competent and incredibly friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice and would like to thank the entire team for their excellent treatment of both people and animals.
Because I'm SOOO glad I chose this practice years ago, I thought I'd leave a review! :-) My experiences have been consistently positive in every respect. Starting with rabbits a while back, I now bring my dog here as a "patient"! These days, I usually see Dr. Piepenbrink, and I always feel comfortable, like my (sometimes hypochondriacal 😂) worries are taken seriously, and I'm convinced of her competence. The veterinary assistants are incredibly nice and handle my dog very gently and calmly, even though she can get a little nervous on the examination table. Regarding the prices, they're set by the German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT), so you have to accept that (although I still find the prices reasonable, considering we're dealing with living beings), and it's not fair to criticize the vet for them. They do what's necessary to help the animal. I appreciate that and always recommend this practice with a clear conscience ☺️
Zero stars isn't an option, unfortunately. Emergency service. My little cat wasn't well. They barely examined her, offered no real explanation other than "there's nothing more they can do." They gave her an injection. We paid, and that was it. We have NEVER experienced anything so cold and disgusting. My husband paid, and I left with my dead little cat...
