I never usually write reviews, but I'm happy to do so in this case to give others an insight into the situation we were in until recently. My dog ​​was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her paw, which had to be removed. Our regular vet didn't want to take on this major challenge and referred me to the Baab Small Animal Clinic at the Alzey interchange. From beginning to end, Dr. Fiedler cared for us with the utmost diligence and expertise. She quickly assessed that removing the tumor would require amputating two toes to ensure the best possible outcome. The surgery and the aftercare went smoothly. I especially appreciated Dr. Fiedler's loving way with my dog, which made her seem like a real dog person, in addition to being a surgeon. This made it easier for me to entrust my dog ​​to Dr. Fiedler's care for the duration of the operation. All steps of the diagnostic and treatment process were discussed and communicated to me beforehand by Dr. Fiedler, so that by being involved, I always felt secure and well-informed. This was particularly important to me, as this situation is inherently very emotionally stressful and stressful for any dog ​​owner. It's also worth emphasizing that the receptionists always made a friendly, courteous, and professional impression on me. I would especially like to thank Ms. Christ, who always greeted us warmly during our frequent visits to the clinic, thus ensuring a positive experience from the very beginning. The same applies to Dr. Baab, who always greets all waiting patients very warmly when he enters the clinic's lobby; such a courteous and friendly demeanor combined with such professional expertise is hard to find these days. I'm so glad to have found it at this small animal center.

We highly recommend this small animal clinic! We got an appointment very quickly. They were also very easy to reach by phone. We found all the staff members we dealt with to be incredibly friendly and helpful. What we liked best was that the animal is the top priority and is treated with such love and care! We also want to give a special shout-out to the ophthalmologist, who tailors the treatment to the pet owner's budget! Thumbs up all around!!! The vet was very kind and empathetic. Nevertheless, I'm extremely shocked by the cost. I was there last week around 8 pm because my dog ​​had injured a claw. The claw was trimmed and then bandaged. I had to pay a €130 deposit on site; I was told that this covered most of the cost and that the accounting department just needed to check the rest. So I was all the more shocked when I received an additional bill for €134 today. Overall, I find the price for this treatment completely unreasonable.

Top-notch practice, modern and comprehensive equipment, wide range of diagnostic options, excellent accessibility, long opening hours. It's certainly not the cheapest, but we're impressed by the loving, thorough, and high-quality care our pet receives. We wouldn't want to be treated this well ourselves.

We are being treated by Dr. Fiedler and are very impressed by her positive and friendly manner. We aren't regular patients, but we were still able to squeeze in a necessary surgery on short notice. She carefully explained what needed to be done and what the next steps would be. Our young French Bulldog, now six months old, has been post-surgery for four weeks, and everything seems to be healing well. We have a follow-up X-ray in two weeks, and we are feeling optimistic. The receptionists are also incredibly friendly and helpful. (The only slight drawback: unfortunately, this practice doesn't bill pet insurance companies directly. It wasn't a major financial issue for us, but I think this is something they should consider changing. There are insurance companies that offer this service and are willing to work with veterinary practices.)
