Reviews
I switched to Dr. Schopper in September because one of my three cats died due to inadequate treatment by another veterinarian. I had wanted to have a blood test done on my 16-year-old cat for a long time. Two different vets couldn't manage it and told me she would need sedation, which, given her age, I would only have considered as an absolute last resort. I almost laughed when Dr. Schopper successfully completed the blood draw in just a few minutes without any additional medication. Based on the blood test results, an ultrasound was necessary for a more precise diagnosis, which my cat handled perfectly with Dr. Schopper. I also brought my male cat along for a check-up. Regarding the bill, I have to say that the blood test and ultrasound for two cats came to well under €400, which pleasantly surprised me. As is well known, veterinarians have a profession and a calling. In Dr. Schopper's case, it's definitely a calling.
Expensive, but definitely worth the money! Mr. Schopper supported our four-legged friend through many difficult times and was even there for him outside of opening hours. One of the best veterinarians ever.
Our three cats and we are extremely satisfied with Dr. Schopper's veterinary practice, both personally and professionally. Dr. Schopper is competent, friendly, takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and clearly, and is always available to answer any questions. His extensive experience is evident in every procedure, and our cats are particularly grateful for the gentle, albeit more expensive, method of anesthesia. The practice is always very easy to reach by phone, even in emergencies, and if you leave a message on the answering machine, you receive a prompt call back.
The best veterinary practice we've ever been to. Very friendly, competent, and above all, empathetic care, no matter what day it is. Unfortunately, Dr. Schopper is one of the few remaining veterinarians who truly care about our beloved pets and don't focus on maximizing their profits beforehand. We give him 5 stars ⭐️ + because it doesn't get any better.
Today, I spoke with Mr. Schopper at work regarding a stray feral cat that had been hit by a car and was severely injured. Mr. Schopper and his wife were extremely friendly on the phone. He offered to examine the cat in person. After I got back to him, he took the cat to his practice for further examination. Unfortunately, the cat wasn't microchipped and ultimately had to be euthanized due to its severe injuries. We would like to thank him again most sincerely for his quick response and the uncomplicated process that ensured the animal's well-being! The procedure for registering a microchip for a privately owned pet is also highly commendable, especially considering that many veterinarians provide very little information about this! At the Schopper veterinary practice, the registration form is pre-filled and sent off at the practice.
