Dedicated, excellent treatment and individual, personal attention. Appointments are available at short notice if needed. There are hardly any waiting times; the practice is well-organized. My chronically ill cat and I are "regulars" at the practice and always receive a warm welcome. Ms. Köninger always explains every examination and subsequent treatment in detail, and any questions I have are always answered clearly. We are so glad to have found Ms. Köninger and feel very well cared for there. If it weren't for his chronic illness, which necessitates our numerous visits, we would always happily go to the Köninger veterinary practice!
Outrageous! We usually take our dog to the small animal clinic. Ms. Köninger's was closer, so I wanted to keep things convenient. We needed to deworm our dog before our trip to England. I was totally shocked when my wife showed me the paid bill. 71 euros for a worming tablet, which you can get online for 5 euros, and a stamp in the vaccination booklet. That's more expensive than our vaccination! I'm a doctor myself and I don't charge such prices for a quick service that only takes a few minutes. That's no way to gain customers and ultimately no way to make money.
We've been seeing Ms. Köninger for a long time with our mixed-breed dog, Morris. She's very competent and kind. She just doesn't have much patience with idiots who don't listen and think they know everything better (I don't either). She also operated on our Morris and treated him for various illnesses. Everything went wonderfully! We've remained loyal to her, and there's a reason for that. Her assistant, Ms. Bauer, is also very kind and competent and always tries to get you an appointment as quickly as possible if it's urgent. A great team 👍🏼
UPDATE: I now visit Ms. Köninger with a tomcat, a cat, and a dog. Since I now have pet health insurance, Ms. Köninger now always issues me invoices. These, at least according to the insurance clerk, are impeccable and by no means overpriced. My previous positive impression regarding the services billed and the prices has thus been somewhat confirmed. I'm also still very satisfied with the professionalism. My current cats also feel well cared for by Ms. Köninger. This is despite the fact that my tomcat generally has major problems with veterinarians, which I've noticed repeatedly during emergency appointments with various other doctors. My dog also feels at home; she's now quite relaxed in the waiting room. So I'm still very happy I found this practice 15 years ago. Old review from 2018: I've been going to Ms. Köninger for many years with a Siamese and a domestic cat. The practice is quite small and always very clean. Ms. Köninger pays close attention to hygiene, disinfecting her hands after each pet, as is appropriate, but unfortunately not common practice in all practices. My cats get along quite well with her, although cats generally don't like being transported to unfamiliar surroundings by car and bag. The treatment room also houses the office; there is no reception desk. It is recommended to make an appointment; you may have to call several times if no one is available to answer the phone. If you arrive without an appointment, please simply wait briefly in the waiting room. Ms. Köninger doesn't bill using a computer, but rather a calculator. Therefore, the totals are not always as clear as if you receive an itemized invoice. But since I occasionally visit other veterinarians, I at least know that it's not cheaper there and don't feel like the fees are too high. Ms. Köninger doesn't push the needle in her treatment; everything is explained, and alternatives are presented. For example, while another veterinarian told me for years that my cat had a persistent bacterial eye infection or a blocked tear duct, which could only be diagnosed through surgery, Ms. Köninger simply dripped a colored liquid into his eye. Minutes later, it was clear that the duct was blocked and that I had spent years pointlessly wasting vast amounts of money on eye drops. Ms. Köninger prescribed a few tablets, and after a few weeks, the scum was gone from his eye. Ms. Köninger also doesn't vaccinate too much or too often, which I find very beneficial, not only financially, after seeing an animal with vaccine damage. For surgical procedures, I've only taken my cats to larger veterinary clinics and practices, so I can't share any experience with this.
