Reviews
Sandy and I went to see Dr Berk from Italy and I could tell that it was worth every km we did. He's a very skilled doctor and a really kind person, during our private practice he explained me everything, he checked every exam that Sandy did and he answered clearly to every question I had.
A fantastic team, both the veterinarians and the administrative staff. We have a truly severe case of epilepsy in our pet, but Dr. Stüber and Dr. Berk are always available to answer questions and address any problems, and they are very concerned about the well-being of our four-legged friend, as well as our family. You receive expert advice, and the next steps, whether medication-related or dietary, are decided upon together. We have been patients at the practice for almost three years and feel very well cared for and understood. Epilepsy is such a complex and serious illness; general neurologists we consulted previously didn't have nearly as much expertise. The administrative team is also always friendly and solution-oriented, especially when things get urgent.
We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Berk for the outstanding care he provided to our Lagotto Romagnolo, Lio. From the very beginning, we felt our dog was in excellent hands. Dr. Berk takes his time, explains everything clearly, and treats both animal and owner with great calm and warmth. We were particularly impressed by his loving way of handling Lio, as well as his professional expertise and genuine concern for the animal's well-being. It's immediately apparent that he works with passion and experience. We can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Berk and are very grateful to have found such a trustworthy veterinarian.
Our 11-year-old Eurasier has been living with epilepsy since 2016. Since the summer of 2019, we have been under the care of Dr. Berk – and we can say with complete conviction: without him, our dog probably wouldn't be here today. Dr. Berk combines exceptional professional expertise with a profound humanity that is invaluable in stressful situations. He carefully and patiently adjusted our dog's medication, provides well-considered feeding recommendations, and coordinates closely and collaboratively with our regular veterinarian. This collaboration gives us security and confidence. What truly sets him apart, however, is his personal dedication. In crisis situations, we experience him as incredibly committed, empathetic, and caring. You can feel how much his patients mean to him. He always tries to make the best possible outcome possible – even when it takes a toll on him personally. This sense of responsibility and this devotion are anything but commonplace. Thanks to his support, our "epi-dog" is able to lead a stable and fulfilling life despite his condition. For us, Dr. Berk is the best doctor in the world. Berk is not only an outstanding specialist, but a doctor with a heart. We are deeply grateful to him.
I am truly deeply impressed by what Dr. Berk accomplishes despite his own health issues. He is truly the best thing that could have happened to my dog and me. After neurologists in my area stood before me shrugging their shoulders and expressing their regret that, unfortunately, not all epileptics can be helped, I came across Dr. Berk. To be honest, I was skeptical about the concept of telephone consultations, wondering if it would work for our dog, who suffers from cluster seizures and has extremely short recovery periods. After the first phone call, it was clear: this man knows what he's doing and is fully committed. Even in my overwhelmed and helpless state, I found understanding and received the support I needed. Now, two years later, I regret so much that I was close to giving up. But Dr. Berk gave me courage and, through his experience, knew what was possible! He carefully examined which factors could be adjusted to help my dog get better again!
