I'm extremely satisfied with the cardiology care I've received. Thanks to the correct dietary adjustments, my condition has improved significantly after six months. A big thank you to Ms. Geßner: she's a truly wonderful contact person. Friendly, competent, and always willing to explain everything thoroughly. The practice itself is also very convenient: easily accessible, straightforward procedures, excellent appointment scheduling, and overall, truly outstanding service.
They make sure the appointment is scheduled in advance to be stress-free and convenient for you; we had to reschedule ours once, and that wasn't a problem. Dr. Feichtenschlager explains everything very thoroughly and is patient and patient. She comes to our house for regular checkups, and I've always been satisfied.
Dr. Feichtenschlager was recommended to me by my regular vet when a possible heart valve defect in my horse couldn't be ruled out. During the phone call to schedule an appointment, they tried very hard to find a time that worked for me, but it proved difficult. I was also informed about the prices beforehand. I had the choice between waiting two weeks and sharing the travel with several people, or having the echocardiogram done in one week but having to pay outrageously high travel costs myself (a distance of 75 km!). Because of the long wait, which I didn't want to take for a potential heart condition, I decided to go directly to the clinic the next day, and they were able to give me an appointment for the following morning. For the exact same procedure, I paid less than half the price I would have had to pay Dr. Feichtenschlager. With the exorbitant travel costs and the ultrasound alone (the ultrasound was more than twice as expensive as at the clinic), I could have almost paid for four treatments at the clinic (80 km away) (including the cost of fuel for a gasoline SUV with a double horse trailer for the round trip)!! I was also offered the option of driving my horse to Dr. Feichtenschlager myself, but that wouldn't be for at least a week, which seemed too risky given the potential heart condition. Since I didn't have the treatment done there, I can't comment on their competence, but I can't imagine there's any significant difference compared to a large, well-known clinic that would even remotely justify such a huge price difference. That clinic also has experienced specialists and state-of-the-art equipment, which led to results in a very short time. In short, the inflexibility and the exorbitant price were decisive factors for me in choosing an equally experienced clinic, and I would do so again if necessary.
Known throughout Germany, The planning and organization done in advance for both horse and rider by the practice is simply fantastic and inspires confidence! Thank you so much for the reassurance of being in such great hands. Best regards, Judith Weißenfels
My horse was initially treated at a clinic for heart problems. She has been under Dr. Feichtenschlager's care for three years now. The first appointment was very sobering, as the heart problem seemed to be worsening. We then analyzed hair samples and adjusted the feed. This week was her third appointment (we check annually), and lo and behold, the heart is "recovering," and even I, as a layperson, can see a significant improvement in the pictures. I wonder if the development would be the same with further treatment at the clinic, all without medication and solely through a change in feed. I found her to be a very friendly and dedicated veterinarian with very specific expertise in this area. Her handling of the horse is also professional and calm, which is essential for my sensitive mare. Communication afterward has been excellent. Thanks to the detailed explanations, I'm almost a pro when it comes to blood work and feed composition. Ms. Gessner in the office is super friendly and solution-oriented. The appointment coordination is super professional, and I've never had to wait long. The prices are relatively high, but she never tries to push expensive medications or buy pointless things. Quality comes at a price, and I'm happy to pay that if it promotes my horse's health.
