They refused to provide information about the price of neutering a male cat over the phone. "Prices always vary," was the response. Even after asking again for an approximate price, they refused to give a figure.

Recently, our 5-month-old puppy stole and swallowed a dish sponge. We knew – it had to come out! Since we can reach the Gräfe veterinary practice in 5 minutes by car, I called and explained the problem. I clearly stated that it was an emergency and our dog needed an injection to get the sponge out! It wasn't some complicated treatment. Instead of telling me I could come in immediately, I was only asked if I was a regular customer. I truthfully replied that I wasn't anymore (Note: I had been for many years, but I had good reasons for finding a different vet, especially for my horses!). When asked where I usually go, I said that our veterinary practice is in Lüdenscheid. However, the drive there takes a good 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic, and we had an emergency! But the unfriendly woman on the phone couldn't have cared less. They wouldn't treat the dog; I should go to Lüdenscheid. I don't know if that's legal, but that's not really the point. What's unacceptable in my eyes is refusing help to an animal and dismissing a desperate pet owner like that. Absolutely not!

A very friendly and incredibly competent team. Our dogs and I feel very well cared for there. We were able to get appointments at short notice and our dog received relief so quickly.
