Reviews
A wonderful and kind person with lots of experience helping with all sorts of animal behaviours. Highly recommended!
Dr Fritsche is fantastic. We had tried a few different options for our reactive adopted dog without many results. Ann-Kathrin put together a plan for us and our dog, and with check ins over the following months, we finally saw positive changes! Can´t thank her enough. She speaks perfect English for those of you ex pats.
Best dog psychologist in town. I'm never working with dog trainers again while people like her exist. Choosing to work with her was one of the most impactful choices for our dogs wellbeing that we ever made.
We have tried 4 different Veterinarians for our dog and Dr. Fritsche has been the only who has been understanding with our anxious dog. She is very experienced and skillful when it comes to treating animals. Her recommendations and treatment plan for our dog was very clear and comprehensive. I was very impressed by her thoughtfulness and kindness!
Dr Fritsche has been working with us and our dog for 10 months now both in-person (home visits) and online. Our dog had a hard time adjusting to the city (she's been fearful, struggling with noise-sensitivity, human- & dog-reactivity, separation anxiety and more) and has now been receiving treatment (Selgian) for months and in combination with the training exercises Dr Fritsche recommended, we're seeing huge changes. Dr Fritsche has been nothing but extremely thorough and well-prepared in all of our sessions and we highly recommend her. During the diagnostic phase, she has been very thorough, and came with her own hypotheses based on the information we gave her, but my partner and I always felt included in the conversation, she always asked for our opinions. If we offered new information, she incorporated that into the treatment plan as well. She always approached our dog's case holistically, not just treating the symptoms, but trying to find the root causes of her behavior. About that thoroughness: Dr Fritsche has a 3-page intake questionnaire on the dog's history to make sure no detail about the situation is missed. Before prescribing our dog medication, she asked us to get blood tests done at our regular vet (so that no medical condition or pain is treated with anxiety medication), and asked us to fill out two additional evaluation questionnaires specifically about suspected problem areas based on the first form to get a more complete picture. Only after all that information did she prescribe medication (thankfully it seems to be the correct one for our dog and we only had to adjust the dosage once). Our dog proved to be a complex case, but Dr Fritsche has always put special emphasis on making sure that the workload felt managable for us, that we (the humans) do not feel overwhelmed with how much there is to do. All of the exercises she recommended to us were force-free (no aversive tools or dominance-based strategies to deal with our dog's anxiety).
